AFMS 2016 Counselling: The online counselling of AFMS 2016has been started from March 1, 2016. Candidates who have qualified AIPGMEE 2016 and fulfill the eligibility criteria of AFMS 2016 can participate in the online counselling of AFMS 2016. Candidates have to login to their login account and select from the choice of subjects that are available. AFMS 2016 Counselling will be conducted in three rounds. Step wise step procedure to participate in AFMS 2016 Counselling:
Candidates have to scan all the relevant documents into a single PDF file and upload to their login account
Candidates have to click on the online counselling button situated on the left hand side
After the online declaration by the candidate regarding understanding of the process, a screen with the subjects and colleges available to the candidate will appear on the screen
Candidates will have to click on “+” against each college on the left hand side pane and the same will move to the right hand side
The subjects and the college combination selected by you will be temporarily saved
Once the choice of subjects and institution is final, the candidate can lock the list. The candidate will be prompted to take a print out of the final locked choice
Locking of choice is mandatory for the candidates
It is also advisable for the candidates to lock their choices as earliest as possible
There will be 3 rounds of counselling in AFMS 2016
The seats will be allotted on the basis of merit and choices locked by the candidate
Round 1 will be the first consideration for allotment of seats as per the preferred subject/college
After allotting s seat, candidates will have 4 options:-ACCEPT
-ACCEPT BUT WILLING FOR 2nd ROUND
-REJECT AND WILLING FOR 2nd ROUND
It is mandatory for the candidates to choose any one option out of given 4 options
This round of counselling is for those candidates who have selected second and third option in round 1 and could not be allotted a seat as per their merit and choice
After seat allotment process in round 2, candidates will have following options
-OPT for Round 3
It is third and last consideration of allotment of seats
Only those candidates are eligible for round 3, who have not allotted nay seat in round 2 & 3, have exercised the option ‘Opt for Round 3’ in round 2 and who were not able to lock their choices at the start of round 1 of counselling
A fresh seat matrix will be displayed based upon the seats left over after allotment during first two rounds of counseling
The choices for the candidates in round 3 will only be Accept or Reject
Reporting of Admissions:
Candidates will have to report to their allotted institution within the specified time given
Failure to report at the institution will lead to cancelation of the candidature
