AIIMS MBBS Seats Reservation 2020 - The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) held a press conference on October 4, 2019 and announced the merger of AIIMS MBBS with NEET. The announcement will be effectuated from the year 2020. Earlier All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi was supposed to release AIIMS MBBS 2020 seats reservation policy with the release of information brochure in the third week of March 2020. A detailed seat matrix with category-wise distribution of seats under the seats reservation of AIIMS MBBS for the 15 functional AIIMS institutes was to be notified. Candidates belonging to different categories were to go through the information brochure of AIIMS MBBS to know all exam related details. Until AIIMS MBBS seats reservation 2020 were announced candidates could refer to the previous year reservations.

AIIMS MBBS 2020 Seats Reservation

There will be a standardized reservation policy followed in the 15 AIIMS institutes. Under this policy, out of the total seats

  • 7.5% are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST)

  • 15% for Scheduled Castes (ST)

  • 27% for Other Backward Class (OBC)

AIIMS MBBS 2020 Seat Reservation for PWD candidates

Out of the total seats that are offered by AIIMS institutes, 5% are reserved for PwD candidates. These candidates are provided reservation under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. The reservations will be provided on the horizontal basis, in the available seats.

AIIMS MBBS Seats Reservation 2020 - Inter-Convertibility

The reservation of seats is inter-convertible under the given circumstances:

  • If required number of qualified candidates are not available to fill the seats reserved for SC, then these seats will be filled by candidates from ST and vice versa

  • If there are no qualified candidates for seats reserved under AIIMS MBBS 2020 seats reservation for SC/ST then these will be filled by candidates belonging to General category

  • Alos, if seats reservation under AIIMS MBBS for OBC candidates remain vacant they will be filled by General category candidates

AIIMS MBBS Seats Reservation 2020 - Criteria for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD

Medical aspirants who belong to the OBC category must make sure that they are from the Non-Creamy Layer. These candidates have to provide relevant documents and certificates for the same, which should not be more than a year old. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category also have to furnish the documents required to claim AIIMS MBBS 2020 seats reservation. Those medical aspirants who come under PwD category must furnish documents duly constituted and authorized by the Medical Board of the state or Central Hospitals/Institutions.

Hi Aspirant,

Hope you are ready to ACE the exam!! If you are serious for NEET exams then you might have covered whole syllabus of class 12th as well as of 11th. Now I am providing here some smart tips which you can follow to finish up your preparation :-

  • Make proper schedule which includes time for studies as well as for your hobbies which makes you fresh.
  • Go through the topics which are difficult for you to understand.
  • Solve previous year papers as many as you can by setting time in your stopwatch. This practice improves your time management skill.
  • Go through all the formulas. All formulas should be on your tongue.
  • Weekly go through your notes.
  • Don't go behind very heavy or thick books which can lose your confidence level.
  • Practice different types of question as many as you can.
  • Be health cautious. Don't eat junk food or very oily and spicy food. Eat fresh food.

With NEET pg results being declared, most of the students are anxious to know which college can they get in. Since you are from.obc, you'll sightly be at advantage. You can try in Government medical college haldwani, governmemt medical college bhilwara, government medical college pali, ESI PGIMSR chennai, belagavi institute of medical sciences, rajmata vijaya raje.

Cutoffs are subject to change so don't consider this as final, this is just as an idea as to what options you have
