AIIMS Nursing 2020 - All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi will be conducting AIIMS Nursing 2020 for admissions to B.Sc (H) Nursing and B.sc Nursing (Post Basic) and M.Sc Nursing. The entrance examination of B.Sc (H) Nursing is conducted for female candidates only. The registration for AIIMS Nursing 2020 will begin in the last week of November 2019 for courses offered in Bachelor’s degree and in the first week of February 2020 for Master’s degree. As per Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR), there will be two steps of AIIMS Nursing 2020 registration, basis registration and final registration. The admit card of AIIMS Nursing 2020 will release in the third week of May 2020.

AIIMS Nursing 2020 Eligibility Criteria

It is imperative for candidates to know the eligibility criteria of AIIMS Nursing 2020 before filling the application form. Given below are the specific points of eligibility that candidates need to fulfil.

Eligibility criteria for B.Sc Nursing (Post-basic)

  1. Candidates must pass their twelfth class under the 10+2 system or equivalent from a recognised board/university (Candidates who passed their 10+2 on of before the year 1987 are also eligible for the same)

  2. Candidates must possess diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from any institution which is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council

  3. Female candidates must be registered as nurse, Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) with any State Nursing Council

  4. Male candidates who have passed the examination before implementation of new integrated course, should fulfil the below-mentioned criteria:

4.1 Register themselves as a nurse with the State Nursing Council

4.2 Should have a diploma in General Nursing

4.3 Instead of Training in Midwifery candidates should have training for a period of six months in any of the following subjects

  • O.T. Techniques

  • Ophthalmic Nursing

  • TB Nursing

  • Neurological and NeuroSurgical Nursing

  • Leprosy Nursing

  • Psychiatric Nursing

  • Community Health Nursing

  • Cancer Nursing

  • Orthopaedic Nursing

Eligibility criteria for B.Sc (H) Nursing

  1. Aspirant must be Indian citizen

  2. Only female candidates can apply for this course

  3. Candidates must complete 17 years of age as on December 31, 2020

  4. Nursing applicants must pass their 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised university/board with Physics, Biology, English and Chemistry as compulsory subjects

  5. The minimum qualifying marks for General/ OBC category students is an aggregate of 55% in the compulsory subjects mentioned in the point above. SC/ST category candidates must secure an aggregate of 50% in the same

  6. Candidates who are in the passing year of their 10+2 are also eligible to apply

Eligibility criteria for M.Sc Nursing

  1. Candidates must have passed B.Sc Nursing/ B.Sc (H) Nursing (Post Basic)/ post certificate from Indian Nursing Council recognized board/university

  2. Candidates belonging to General/ OBC category must secure a minimum of 60% and those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) must secure a minimum of 55% in the qualifying exam

  3. Candidates must be RM or RN with any State Nursing Council

AIIMS Nursing Application Form 2020

AIIMS, New Delhi will release the application form of AIIMS Nursing in the last week of November 2019 for B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic)/ B.Sc (H) Nursing and in the first week of February 2020 for M.Sc Nursing. The entire process of registration of AIIMS Nursing 2020 will be done in online mode. According to the new Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR), there will be two stages of registration. First, candidates have to complete basic registration and get the final status of the same followed by the final registration.

Only after candidates complete both the steps of filling application form of AIIMS Nursing 2020 they will be able to generate a Registration Unique Code (RUC). This code will be of help to students for completing the remaining procedures of AIIMS Nursing application form 2020. Candidates are advised to refer to the steps below to get a brief of the application process.

AIIMS Nursing Admit Card 2020

AIIMS, New Delhi will release AIIMS Nursing 2020 admit card in the third week of May (tentatively). Candidates have to carry their admit card of AIIMS Nursing to the exam centre failing which entry will be restricted. There are four basic steps that candidate need to follow in order to download their AIIMS Nursing hall ticket 2020.

  1. Fill in the registration ID

  2. Enter RUC

  3. Copy captcha code

  4. Verify details on AIIMS Nursing 2020 admit card and download

It is advised that candidates keep 3-4 printouts of the admit card with them for future reference at they will require it at various steps of the admission process. There are some other documents also that candidates need to carry to the exam centre of AIIMS Nursing 2020 along with the admit card. These are:

  • A valid ID proof which is mentioned in the application form by the candidates

AIIMS Nursing Cutoff 2020

The minimum qualifying marks of the entrance examination is known as AIIMS Nursing 2020 cutoff. By having a knowledge of the cutoff of AIIMS Nursing 2020 candidates will be able to set their targets that they must achieve and hence plan their exam strategies. In the year 2019 cutoff for M.Sc Nursing was the 50th percentile. With the release of information brochure of AIIMS Nursing, the authorities will announce the cutoffs for the same. It will also be updated in this article as and when available.

AIIMS Nursing Result 2020

AIIMS, New Delhi will declare AIIMS Nursing 2020 result in online mode on different dates for different courses. The result of AIIMS Nursing 2020 for B.Sc (H) Nursing will be declared on July 7 while that of B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic) will be declared on June 13. The authority will declare the result of AIIMS nursing 2020 for M.Sc. nursing on June 15. It is to be noted that candidates will not be receiving individual results of AIIMS Nursing 2020 on registered mobile number and email ID. Result will be published on the official website of AIIMS Nursing and link for the same will be made available on this page in the latest section.

The authorities will be preparing AIIMS Nursing 2020 merit list of candidates based on inter se merit.

AIIMS Nursing Counselling 2020

The authorities will conduct AIIMS NURSING 2020 counselling in online as well as offline mode depending on the courses. The procedure of counselling of AIIMS Nursing is given below for each course:

  • B.Sc (H) Nursing - There will be three rounds of online counselling

  • B.Sc Nursing (Post- Basic) - There will be an interview followed by a personal assessment of the candidate

  • M.Sc Nursing - The authority will conduct online AIIMS Nursing counselling 2020, schedule and procedure of the same will be notified as and when available

On reporting to the allotted institute after AIIMS Nursing 2020 counselling, candidates have to furnish the below mentioned documents in original:

  1. Admit card of AIIMS Nursing 2020

  2. Class 10 or 12 qualifying certificate (to be used as a birth certificate)

  3. Caste certificate (if any)

  4. Migration certificate

  5. Certificate of physical disability (if any)

  6. Certificate of passing degree

  7. Qualifying exam marksheet

  8. No Objection Certificate (if candidate is Government employee)

AIIMS Nursing Seats Reservation 2020

There are certain reservations provided by the conducting body, to candidates for admission into institutes of AIIMS nationwide, for pursuing nursing courses. The criteria of AIIMS Nursing 2020 seats reservation is as given in the table below.

  • If there is a vacancy left in seats reserved for ST they will be filled by candidates belonging to SC and vice-versa

  • If the vacancy is not filled then candidates belonging to general category will be given preference

  • If there is a vacancy in OBC reserved category, it will be filled by candidates belonging to general category

  • The 5% seats reservation provided to PWBD is for Indian Nationals. It will be provided on horizontal basis, in those seats which are advertised.

There is no such eligibility criteria.Both male and female can appear for AIIMS Nursing Entrance Examination.The eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with atleast 55% aggregate in case  if they belong to general category and 50% aggregate in case if they belong to reserved category or it's equivalent from from a recognised board or university.Must have studied Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English as mandatory subjects.

AIIMS also has a specialization exam for BSC people as AIIMS Nursing.

Eligibility for AIIMS Nursing,
  • Candidates must have passed class 12 under the 10+2 schemes/senior school certificate examination or intermediate science or any equivalent examination
  • They must have studied English, physics, chemistry and biology as mandatory subjects
  • One should secure 55% for general category and 50% for SC/ST.
  • If you are doing BSC post basic then you should have diploma in general nursing and midwifery.

First step for initiation of admission process regarding BSc Nursing Post Basic is registration .There are two steps involved here under the Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) system newly announced by AIIMS - basic registration followed by Generation of Code and Final Registration. After, successful registration, admit card will be issued and as per the performance of candidates in entrance test, they'll further be called for counselling process.
