AIPGMEE 2014 Counseling Round II: Over 700 new candidates allotted seats; 7 in top 100 opt out from Round-I

Over 700 seats allotted in Round I of AIPGMEE 2014 Counseling remained vacant, making way for new candidates to take admissions in different medical institutes during round-II of counseling which began on May 14.

Surprisingly, 7 students in top 100 allotted seats in first round did not report to their allotted institute.

AIPGMEE 2014 Round 2 Counseling Result was declared on May 13, 2014. Out of 5452 allotted seats during first round, 727 candidates did not report to their allotted institute. Dr Bipin Batra, Executive Director of NBE, had told Careers360 that out of 44442 candidates who had qualified AIPGMEE 2014, as many as 30495 candidates qualified to participate in online counseling for All India 50% quota seats based on cut-off for different categories of candidates.

According to Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) which allots Post Graduate Medical seats on the basis of AIPMGEE results, more than 700 new students have been offered admissions after these seats remained vacant during first round of counseling process.

The second round of online counseling for AIPGMEE also offers upgraded seats to more than 1200 candidates who participated in the first round of counseling. A total of 3844 candidates had opted for upgradation during Round-I.

Candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 2 of Counseling will have to report to their allotted institutes by May 24.  

The vacant seats available for admissions for 3rd round of counseling will be declared by May 30. Candidates will be able to submit their choice by June 3 and seats allotment for the third round will be announced by June 9.

AIPGMEE 2nd round counseling highlights:

  • 727 students did not report after first allotment so their seat has been cancelled and allotted for 2nd round.

  • As many as 1270 student got upgraded seat options

  • A total of 3844 candidates had applied for up gradation in second round

  • A total of 7 candidates did not report for allotted seat in top 100 during Round-1.

The All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE 2014) which was conducted for admission to All India 50% quota of MD/MS/PG Diploma courses offered at Government Medical Colleges /Institutions except states of Andhra Pradesh and J&K is also being used by 7 states for filling up their 50% State quota seats.  Besides these, some large networks such as Armed Forces Medical Institutions and some private universities are also using AIPGMEE merit for filling up seats in their respective institutes.

 

The AIPGMEE 2014 counseling process for allotment of 50 per cent seats of Post Graduate subjects in government medical colleges began with first round of results on April 16According to Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), MD (Radio-Diagnosis) emerged top choice with 45 candidates among top 100 allotments making it their choice of PG subject during round 1 of counseling.  MD- General Medicine and MD- Paediatrics came as second and third favourite with 27 and 10 candidates respectively getting the two subjects.  The top 3 seat allotment was made for MD (Radio-Diagnosis) in Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi.

As per AIPGMEE 2014 first round allotment, out of 100 top rankers, as many as 32 either skipped the online counseling or could not get their subject of choice.

 

According to the AIPGMEE 2014 counseling procedure, a candidate is required to join allotted institution and complete the admission formalities as per the seat allotted in first round of counseling. He can however make a choice for upgradation of subject and participate in the second round of counseling. The third and last round of counseling brings opportunity for upgradation of subjects for those who make a choice for the same during second round.  During the third round of counseling, fresh seats are also added and candidates are made to make their choice afresh.

A total of 70073 candidates had taken the computer based test AIPGMEE 2014 conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE) during 25 November -6 December 2013.

 

 Exam was held between October 26, 2013 and November 18, 2013.  conducted the AIPGMEE 2014 Exam and has declared result.

Greetings!

NEET PG 2020 will be conducted on January 5, 2020. Exact dates haven't been released but tentatively the application process of NEET PG 2020 will start in the first week of November 2019 , While students can fill their application form till fourth week of November 2019 . So, last date will be 4th week of November 2019.
In the application process, candidates have to register online , fill the application details, upload photograph and signature and make application fee payment.

As per NEET PG 2020 Eligibility Criteria,

candidate must have provisional or permanent medical registration certificate issued by MCI or a State Medical Council. that is to be carried on the day of the exam and during admission.


So, having a provisional certificate is also applicable.


In addition to the above criteria, candidates needs to have a valid MBBS degree from an institution recognized by MCI and have a degree or provisional certificate.Also, it's mandatory to have completed rotatory internship on or before 31st March, 2020.

If you are asking about neet pg, then photo requirements for neet pg application form is that"-
  • it should be a color one with white background only and at least 75% coverage of the face and head of the candidate, it should be passport-size, and not older than 6 months,
  • should be devoid of any border and the facial features and should be clearly visible,recently clicked,
  • Should be having the name of candidate ,date of capturing the photograph  imprinted at the bottom of the photo,
  • should be of 3.5*4.5 cm (width*height) in dimension and
  • the file size not more than 80 KB,printed on a high-quality paper with a resolution of at least 600 dp.

The NEET PG 2020 eligibility criteria for aspirants appearing in the postgraduate medical examination has been listed below.

Candidates must possess a valid MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), and have an MBBS degree or provisional certificate to that effect.
Completion of the rotatory internship on or before March 31, 2020.
Provisional or permanent medical registration certificate issued by MCI or a State Medical Council. This must be carried on the day of the exam and during admission.
Candidates who have studied/qualified MBBS from Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for All India 50% Quota seats. Only candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to study MBBS from Medical Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible for All India 50% quota seats. Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring this.
