Shreyasi Manish Shah from Gujarat scored an incredible 671 out of 720 to be ranked fourth in AIPMT 2014. The 18-year old girl, who did not find too many surprises in the AIPMT paper, says her score was up to her expectation. The AIPMT 2014 result turned out to be a happy relief for her.

Shreyasi Shah: Thank you! It is such a wonderful feeling to know that your hard work has finally paid off.
Careers360: What is your overall and section-wise score?
Shreyasi Shah: My overall score is 671.I scored 170 both in Physics and Chemistry, while my score in Biology is 331.
Careers360: What was your preparation strategy for AIPMT 2014?
Shreyasi Shah: I devoted a minimum of 7 hours to brush up all the important topics. To enhance my exam preparation strategy, I focused a lot on Botany and Zoology subject.
I started preparing for AIPMT 2014 from first year of intermediate examination. Preparation strategy was at times slowed down, so that I do not miss scoring high in the intermediate examination. During my pre-boards and board examination, I diverted my focus from AIPMT preparation.

Careers360: How did you divide your preparation schedule among the three subjects of AIPMT 2014?
Shreyasi Shah: My Preparation schedule was not time specific. In fact, it was subject and topic specific. A few topics under zoology and botany were both time and energy consuming. So, I invested my time depending on the subject and the number of important topics in it.
Since, I like Botany I used to revise atleast 1-2 chapters in a week and make important notes of it. To improve my speed of solving physics questions, I set a deadline to attempt 10 questions everyday and to solve them within a deadline of 45 minutes.

Careers360: Which subject was easiest and which was the toughest?
Shreyasi Shah: Actually all the subjects were equal for me. Since, AIPMT 2014 is a very tough exam I had to be equally dedicated to all the topics.
Careers360: Besides studies, what do you do? Do you like sports?
Shreyasi Shah: Yes, I like to play badminton. I also like to explore new places. In fact, recently I went on a trip to Ranthambore National Park with my parents.
Careers360: Do you like watching movies? Which one did you watch recently?
Shreyasi Shah: I am not so found of movies. The last movie I watched was in 2012! I watched the “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” movie. I liked the movie.
Careers360: Now that you have cracked AIPMT 2014, which Medical College would you like to opt for?
Shreyasi Shah: My first preference is Maulana Azad Medical College. However, if that does not happen my last preference is Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.

As per the age criteria for NEET, candidates need to attain 17 years by 31st December of that appearing year, so yes you can appear for NEET based on this.
You also need to fulfill other eligibility criteria as mentioned below;
Passed or appearing 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects, those having Biology as an additional are also eligible to apply.
PCB aggregate against each category as mentioned below should be attained;
- UR - 50%,
- OBC/SC/ST - 40%,
- PWD - 45%
how much to score in neet for medical seet
Can you please help us with your category and domicile state as
cut off marks for medical colleges varies depending upon various factors like your domicile state , number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.
But in general as per past year trends , you should try to get at least around 550 to 600 marks to be on the safer side in your neet examination if you want to get a mbbs seat in government medical college
in neet 2019, lowest marks required for general category for getting a mbbs seat in government medical college under UP state quota was 575 and it was for

I got 164/300 in PCB , I am from obc category. I am pass in all subjects and english is my core subject physics- Theory-23 practicle-28 chem- T-23 p-28 bio- T-34 P-28 my score is less in theory than practicles in physics and chemistry.. Is I am eligible for NEET??? And for colleges like Aiims?
if we get 59 percentage in board examination then we are prepare neet
Actually your overall % obtained in class 12th board examination is not considered for Neet eligibility , only your aggregate in PCB is considered
And you have not mentioned your aggregate in PCB i.e physics chemistry and Biology .
Neet eligibility criteria says that,
to be eligible you must have passed your 12th with English and PCB (pass in both the theory and practical ) with at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th examination if you belong to general category or at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st .
If you fulfil this criteria then only you are eligible for NEET
