Supreme Court has cancelled AIPMT 2015 after CBSE failed to defend Answer Key leak allegations leveled by test takers. So, what lies next for over 6 lakh aspirants of this national level entrance exam? Careers360 brings you an overview of high level of action expected around AIPMT in days to come.

1. AIPMT Retest within four weeks
The AIPMT exam conducting body Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) will be conducting a fresh test in accordance to Supreme Court Judgment of June 15. “We direct the Board, in the attendant of facts and circumstances to hold the examination within a period of four weeks from today,” the Court observed on June 15. This means that the AIPMT re-test will be conducted by second week of July.
2. CBSE to announce re-test schedule:
As the AIPMT re-test has to be conducted within four weeks from June 15, CBSE will be declaring a fresh date for the exam very soon. The fresh dates will carry the new date of admit card download and date of examination along with result dates.
3. Fresh admit cards and new centres
Fresh Admit Cards will be issued to all AIPMT 2015 takers. A change in test center is also expected for candidates.
4. Delay in admission cycle
With an expected delay of 2 months in the AIPMT 2015 fresh examination, the entire academic cycle will get delayed. However, the court has ordered CBSE to minimize the delay after the examination is held afresh.
Earlier, the result was scheduled to be published on June 5 followed by the first counseling of All India quota seats, to be completed by 30.6.2015 and second counseling by 8.8.2015. The academic session as per the time schedule was to commence on 1 August. Admission to the medical institutions was scheduled to close by 30 September.
Though Supreme Court observed that the abrogation of the examination, would result in some inconvenience to all concerned and that same extra time would be consumed for holding a fresh examination with renewed efforts therefor, it directed the CBSE to take the necessary follow up steps in the coordination with all other institutions involved in the admission process and space the intermediate phases in the same pattern as scheduled earlier.
5. Competition for AIPMT may slightly come down
As AIPMT re-test is much delayed in comparision to the normal admission cycle in medical colleges, the candidates selected through different state entrance exams and other prestigious exams like AIIMS, JIPMER are most likely to enter the final counselling and admission process by the time AIPMT results are announced. Thus, many meritorious candiates will be automatically out of the AIPMT rush. This may result in sligthly bringing down the level of competition for the national level test.
6. Cancellation of candidature of those involved in ‘Answer Key Leak’
A few candidates who have already been apprehended by police in AIPMT Answer Key leak case may not get a chance to appear for the re-test. CBSE has already vowed to take stringent action against such candidates and a chance for those who have already been identified is highly unlikely.
7. Better test process and strict monitoring:
The Answer Key Leak has put CBSE in spot and its credibility is at stake now. Since Supreme Court has already intervened in the matter, the re-test for AIPMT 2015 will be conducted in a more vigilant manner. CBSE would not like to take a second chance on this. Also, it will take extra measures to brief invigilators on checking and cross-checking any sign of unfair practice that they might notice.

Questions related to NEET
There are any chances of cancellation of jee and Neet exams?
At this point in time, there is no clear notification regarding the same. A parents body has filed a PIL in the Supreme Court requesting for JEE Mains and NEET to be postponed further due to the increased cases. They have come up with 10 reasons as to why JEE Mains should be postponed. And IIT Delhi has already cancelled conducted JEE Advanced in Foreign Countries. And Parents body from Gujarat also filed a PIL requesting NEET and JEE Mains to be conducted as per schedule without any delay. Supreme Court is yet to pass an order on it. So until there is an official notification regarding this from either NTA or MHRD, we have to assume that JEE will be conducted as scheduled from September 1st to 6th. There are 36 days more to go for the D day and anything might happen. If Supreme Court accepts the PIL, it might then ask MHRD and NTA to file in their petitions and then a call will be taken accordingly after all the pleadings are heard. So while it is still under hearing, we cannot say anything at this point in time. We have to wait to hear from either NTA or MHRD regarding the same. Until then the only wise thing to do would be to prepare for JEE as if it is going to happen from September 1st to 6th and NEET for September 13th so that if the schedule doesn't change, you are not thrown off the guard.

That was the cut off. Now this is 2018 data and cut offs change every year. So even for Category A seats in Private Medical Colleges, you need to aim for atleast 475 and above. 450 might not be enough. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that.
