Here, Careers360 brings you the AIPMT 2015 exam day guidelines on how to perform well during the exam.


AIPMT 2015 entrance exam will be held for 3 hours. The undergraduate medical entrance exam will commence at 10: 00 AM and conclude at 1:00 PM. Test Booklet of AIPMT 2015 will be in both English and Hindi language. Candidates will be given the test booklet on the basis of their language preference opted in the application form.

AIPMT 2015 Exam question paper will have 180 Multiple Choice Questions. There will be 45 questions from each section of Physics, Chemistry and 90 questions from Biology (Botany and Zoology). While each correct answer will carry 4 marks, 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

How to prepare for exam day:

AIPMT-2015-Exam-Day-Instructions1. Material to be taken to AIPMT 2015 exam hall: Admit Card, post card and passport size photographs for verification. According to officials, blue/black pen will be provided at the exam center for filling up the test booklet and responses on the answer sheet.

Download your AIPMT 2015 admit card if you haven’t downloaded it yet. Candidates must carry the AIPMT 2015 Admit card to the exam hall. Candidates must note that their photograph and other details are clearly printed on the admit card and it is not altered/tampered. The Admit Card will have the candidate’s roll number, name, father’s name, category, sub-category, photograph, signature, date of birth, language of question paper with name and address of AIPMT 2015 examination centre allotted.

As per the information given in the AIPMT 2015 prospectus, except the AIPMT admit card candidates will not be permitted to take items such as calculators, log tables, calculating devices, mobile phones, pagers or other communication devices, side rules, geometry box and textual material etc, in the examinational hall.

2. AIPMT 2015 exam centers – when to reach

Candidates must reach their allotted exam center 45 minutes before the prescribed time for the commencement of the examination. Entry in the examination hall will begin from 9:15 am and distribution of test booklet will begin at 9:45 am.

No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall after the commencement of the examination. Candidates will be permitted to leave the examination hall only after completion of the medical entrance exam.

3. AIPMT 2015 test booklet & answer sheet – how to handle

Fifteen minutes before the commencement of the AIPMT 2015 exam each candidate will be given a sealed Test Booklet. Immediately, on receiving the AIPMT 2015 Test Booklet, the candidates must fill in the required particulars on the cover page of the test booklet with Blue/Black Ball Point Pen only. A candidate cannot open the test booklet until asked to do so by the invigilator.

Candidates will be asked to break/ open the seal of the test booklet at 9:55 am sharp. Candidates must take out the AIPMT 2015 answer sheet carefully. Candidates should check carefully that the test booklet code printed on Side-2 of the Answer Sheet is the same as printed on test booklet. In case of discrepancy, the candidate should immediately report the matter to the invigilator for replacement of both the test booklet and answer sheet.


  • Use of pencil on OMR sheet is not allowed. OMR sheet filled in with pencil will be summarily rejected

  • Candidates are advised to fill neatly and accurately, side 1 and side 2 of the AIPMT 2015 answer booklet

  • Candidates must ensure that the Test Booklet contains as many number of pages as written on the top of the cover page of the Test Booklet


AIPMT-2015-Test-Booklet-How-to-Handle4. How to Mark the Responses in AIPMT 2015 Answer Booklet:

Use blue/black ball point pen only to darken the appropriate circle. Answers marked with pencil will not be evaluated

Mark on responses should be dark and completely fill the circle. A lightly or faintly darkened circle will be treated as a wrong method of marking and it will be rejected by the Optical Scanner

Candidates must note that once the response is marked, it will not to be changed. So, it is advisable to mark responses only when you are sure

Time Management: Time management is the most important factor of scoring good marks in exam. According to experts, the way you manage the exam time i.e. ‘3 hours’ of AIPMT 2015 exam makes all the difference. According to experts, the way you manage the ‘crucial 3-hours’ of AIPMT 2015 exam, makes all the difference. Aakash Chaudhry, Director, Aakash Educational Services says, “Students must manage their exam time as per their exam taking strategy because time management is the key to score good marks”. He advises students to divide their allotted time in all the three subjects equally and some time for revision.

Keep calm and avoid silly mistakes: According to experts and toppers, students must be calm and composed throughout the exam. This temperament reduces the exam pressure and helps in maintaining concentration throughout the exam duration.

During Exam


Carefully read the instructions given of question paper

Don’t be in hurry and read it carefully

Fill all the information correct, roll no, name etc.

Don’t use pen where pencil is required

Read the questions carefully and mark right, cross and circle as per the level of difficulty

Don’t attempt the difficult questions first

First solve all those questions in which you are confident i.e. those marked right, then those marked with a circle and at last the crossed ones.

Don’t jump here and there. Sequentially solve easy questions first

Fill the answer in case if you have done ample questions

Don’t be in too much hurry while filing the answer as one mistake of your leads to one wrong answer

First complete all those questions which are marked right, then go for circle one then at last crossed one

Don’t waste too much of time on one question. In case of lengthy calculations first use approx. method

According to exam conducting authority CBSE, the total number of candidates who applied for AIPMT 2015 exam is 6, 32,649. AIPMT 2015 result will be released by CBSE on June 5, 2015. Prior to this, candidates can check and download AIPMT 2015 answer key soon after the completion of exam on May 3, 2015. CBSE will release the images of OMR Answer Sheets and responses graded by the machine for all the candidates appeared in the exam. The OMR answer sheets will be displayed any day from May 20 to May 25, 2015.

First of all, every college has their own college eligibility criteria. But, generally minimum percentage required is 50%  with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as your mandatory subjects. In order to get admission in government medical colleges of Kerala, you need to score around 550+. This mark can bring you good government college for MBBS degree. So study well, practice and solve previous years papers, give mock tests.

Gauri, NEET is the entrance examination for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. CETs have been replaced by NEET and NEET is a national level entrance examination. Now NEET is mandatory even to study MBBS abroad. CETs conduct the State Counselling of their respective States and that is it. NEET remains the sole Medical Entrance Examination for MBBS, BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses.

In 2018 under State Quota, 533 marks secured a seat in Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and 509 marks secured a seat in Calcutta Medical College. Now this is 20188 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs depend on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Considering all these factors, you should aim for atleast 550 and more.
