51 and 53
Last year, CBSE had awarded 12 bonus marks to JEE Main test takers for wrong questions in the entrance exam. Likewise, CBSE may award 8 bonus marks for the two questions with incorrect answer options or may calculate examinees’ marks excluding these two questions. In that case, CBSE will calculate candidates’ marks out of a total of 712 instead of 720. We bring two possibilities here.
In case 1, if CBSE official answer key reflects these same questions with incorrect answer options, then AIPMT 2016 examinees stand a chance to get 8 bonus marks for the two questions with wrong answer options.
In case 2, CBSE may calculate the total marks for AIPMT 2016 barring/excluding question number 71 and 98 of Set A. In this case, the total number of marks will be calculated out of a total of 712 instead of total 720 marks. Each question of AIPMT carries 4 marks for correct answer, while each incorrect answer, the exam conducting authority deducts 1 mark.
