AP EAMCET Medical 2016 Result - The result of AP EAMCET Medical 2016 has been declared on May 21, 2016. The examination authority JNT University Kakinada has declared AP EAMCER Medical result 2016 for only those candidates who have scored the qualifying marks in the entrance exam. AP EAMCET Medical Result 2016 will have candidate’s personal detail like their name, roll number and marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. Based on the marks secured by candidates in the entrance exam examination authority will prepare merit list of all the qualified candidates. Candidates can check their AP EAMCET Medical 2016 result by entering their roll number. Allotment of MBBS and BDS seats in medical and dental colleges of Andhra Pradesh will be done as per the candidate’s rank in state merit list.

Qualifying Marks for AP EAMCET Medical 2016 –

Candidates have to score a minimum of 25% of the total marks to qualify the AP EAMCET Medical 2016 entrance exam while there is no minimum qualifying mark prescribed for candidates belonging from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category. The admission to SC and ST category students will be limited to the extent of seats reserved them and ranking will be done in the order of merit after combining score obtained by giving 75% weightage to the marks secured in AP EAMCET Medical 2016 and 25% weightage to the marks secured in Biology, Physics, Chemistry subjects.

AP EAMCET Medical 2016 Qualifying Marks = 40 marks out of total marks 160 (25% of 160)

Highlights of AP EAMCET Medical 2016 Ranking:

  • Candidates have to qualify AP EAMCET 2016 to become short listed for ranking in merit

  • Unreserved category candidates who will score qualifying marks will be included in the merit list

  • Candidates must have scored a minimum of 25% (40 /160 marks) to qualify in AP EAMCET Medical 2016

  • The qualifying marks for Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe category candidates the qualifying marks will be based on based combined score obtained by giving 75% weightage of marks secured in AP EAMCET Medical 2016 exam and 25% marks secured in Biology, Physics, Chemistry subjects

  • Rank obtained on the basis relaxation in the exam will be cancelled in SC/ST category if claim found to be invalid at the time of admission to any course of study in any participating University

according to latest notifications, admission to MBBS courses and other health science related courses like bams, bhms, bvsc etc  in medical colleges across the india  including JIPMER and all the AIIMS will be through the common national entrance test NEET from 2020.

so neet is the only gate way to admission in medical colleges for health science related courses.


can we apply without neet exam?

NEET is the entrance examination for admission to Medical, Dental, AAyush and Veterinary Courses across India. Now NEET score is also the only score considered for admission to AIIMS and JIPMER. In few States, even courses like BPT,BOT and Nursing admissions are also cOnducted through NEET score. So if you are planning on studying any of these courses, it is not possible without NEET.

What is the rank for ST(plain) in NEET?

We do not have 2019 data yet. Neverthless, in 2018 an All India Rank of 240859 secured a score of 265 marks and secured a seat in Tezpur Medical College under ST Plain Category. Now this is 2018 cut off and cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So for securing a seat in this Category, you should atleast aim for 350 or more marks. This is all under State Quota.

Biology is the biggest section in NEET, comprising about half of the exam, and acing this subject can help you in scoring more in the exam.
