AP PG MET 2016 Exam Pattern - The exam pattern of AP PG MET 2016 has been declared by the exam conducting authority, i.e. Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh. The exam pattern helps candidate’s know the syllabus, nature of questions, difficulty level of the examination, total number of questions and marking scheme of the examination. Candidates who are applying for AP PG MET 2016 are advised to read the below mentioned exam pattern of AP PG MET 2016. AP PG MET 2016 is scheduled to be conducted on February 28, 2016.

AP PG MET 2016 Syllabus: The syllabus of Post Graduate Medical entrance exam will be based on the MBBS syllabus as prescribed by the Medical Council of India.


Important features of AP PG MET 2016 Exam Pattern:

  • There will be one paper for PG Medical

  • The paper will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

  • Time allotted for the test is 180 minutes (3 hours)

  • For each correct response candidates will get one mark

  • No marks will be awarded for multiple marking of any question

  • There will be no negative marking

  • A merit/rank list will be generated based on the candidate’s score in the entrance exam

  • The rank list will be basis for participation in the seat selection process (Counselling)

  • Candidates belonging to General Category are required to obtain a minimum of 50% and above in the entrance exam whereas, candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories are required to obtain a minimum of 40% marks and above

Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test, commonly known as AP PG MET is a pre requite examination for admissions to Post Graduate Degree and Diploma courses in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.


AP PG MET 2016 is a state level medical entrance examination conducted by Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences for admissions to as many as 2400 seats in MD/MS/Post Graduate Diploma programmes in 29 participating colleges of Andhra Pradesh.

Yes,there will be 10% seats reserved for economically weaker section candidates..The Medical council of Indian has moved towards execution of 10% seats reserved in PG course for EWS candidates by increasing PG seats in existing Medical Colleges..For this,an increase in seats for Medical course in different Medical College will take place..

yes you can change your category by obc instead of general. And you can change anything in the application form before you final submit it and pay the application fees. please check thoroughly before you submit the application. hope you may understand.

Dear Amrita, NEET PG will have 3 sections and the exam will be conducted in online mode. Each section will be Section A with 50  Multiple choice questions, Section B with 100 Multiple choice questions and Section C with 150 Multiple choice questions. The exam will be conducted for 3 hours and 30 minutes. Every correct answer gets you 4 marks and a wrong answer takes away 1 mark.
