Assam MBBS Admission 2020 - The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, will conduct the admission to Assam MBBS 2020 for candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS colleges of the state. Assam MBBS/BDS admission 2020 will be granted on the basis of NEET 2020 scores. The merit list will be released in the second week of June and accordingly, the online Assam MBBS 2020 application form will be available in the same week. Candidates who will qualify NEET 2020 and meet the eligibility guidelines can register and fill the application form of Assam MBBS 2020. In the application form, the candidate is required to fill his/her choice of course as well as college in order of preference. Registered candidates will be allotted seats by state counselling committee on the grounds of NEET scores.

Eligible candidates will be called for the first round of Assam MBBS 2020 Counselling, which will start in the fourth week of June. The counselling will be conducted for admission to Assam MBBS 2020 under 85% state quota seats. Whereas, 15% of seats in all government and dental colleges will be filled through All India Quota counselling conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Based on the NEET marks, the admission to 900 MBBS and 40 BDS seats will be allotted in the six medical and one dental college of Assam. Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria before applying for the Assam MBBS admission 2020. Below are the eligibility guidelines set by the Directorate of Medical Education.
The candidate must qualify NEET 2020.
Aspirants must be a citizen of India.
The minimum age of the candidate must be 17 years as on 31 December 2020.
Each candidate must have cleared 12th standard with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
Students must have studied from class VII to XII from the schools of Assam state.
Every candidate should be medically fit.
The candidate must score 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (for unreserved category) and 50% in the same for reserved category.
Candidate or candidate’s parents must be a permanent resident of Assam state for at least 20 years.

The stages of Assam MBBS Selection procedure is as follows:

Private medical and dental colleges
Seats will be allotted based on the NEET mark obtained in the counselling
Centralised counselling will be held in online mode by MCC based on NEET 2019 scores
The DME will release the Assam MBBS/BDS 2020 merit list in the second week of June based on the marks obtained by the candidates in NEET. The list will include the names, NEET scores and percentile, NEET rank and state merit rank of the candidates qualified in the medical entrance exam and have a permanent domicile of the state. Based on the merit rank, eligible candidates will be called for the counselling round. Before the beginning of the counselling, candidates are required to fill the Assam MBBS application form 2020, which will be available in the PDF format so that it will be easy for students to download the form.
The Application form of Assam MBBS 2020 will be released in the month of June and will be available on the official website of DME- dme.assam.gov.in. Candidates who have qualified NEET 2020 will be eligible to fill the application form of Assam MBBS 2020. The registration form has to be downloaded from the website and filled offline during Counselling. Candidates who fail to attend the counselling will be disqualified from the admission procedure, therefore, the Assam MBBS 2020 admission form has to be filled and submitted offline.

Candidates are needed to submit the documents at the time of counselling of Assam MBBS 2020. All the documents that are mandatory are listed below. These documents must be submitted along with the self-attested photocopy.

The application form of Assam MBBS 2020 will release in the online mode on the official website of DME.
When the registration process has been successfully completed, all the Assam MBBS 2020 application form will be scrutinized by the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam.
The Directorate will then produce a list that would contain all the names of all the candidates who are eligible. They will then called for the counselling process for granting admission in the MBBS/BDS courses of the state of Assam.
That merit list will be the final merit list and it will be released on the official website of DME.
