ASSO CET 2016 has been replaced by NEET 2016 as per the Supreme Court order on May 9, 2016. Now, admission in all state-level and private medical colleges will be done on the basis of NEET 2016 results only. Therefore, MBBS/BDS aspirants are advised to ignore the information given below on this page. FAQ's on NEET - How it affects medical aspirants

 

ASSO CET 2016 is a national level entrance exam conducted by Association of Management of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges, Maharashtra (AMUPMDC) for admission to around 600 MBBS seats in 5 private Medical and 1800 BDS seats in 20 private Dental Colleges of Maharashtra. The entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted in month of May (tentatively).

The application form of ASSO CET 2016 will begin tentatively in the month of March. The application form can be filled in online mode and fee can be remitted through demand or bank challan.

 

Highlights of ASSO CET 2016 Eligibility Criteria are mentioned below:

Age: Candidate be born on or before December 31, 1999 and who born after the given dates are not eligible to the exam

 

Nationality - The candidate may be an Indian National / NRI / Foreign National. Candidate is required to produce proof in support of their Nationality from a District Magistrate, Additional Magistrate or Metropolitan Magistrate, School Leaving certificate of HSC/12th Std indicating the nationality of the candidate as Indian or Valid Passport

 

Education Qualification: Candidates have below mentioned educational qualification will be eligible for ASSO CET 2016

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2/ HSC with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-Technology and English

  • General Category – Candidates belonging from general category must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-Technology and English with 50%

  • Reserved Category (Constitutional Reservation) – Candidates belonging from this category must have passed in the Subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio – Technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40 % marks

Other Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidate must be medically fit and must submit a certificate of medical fitness in given format

  • While determining ASSO CET 2016 eligibility no rounding off of the marks secured by the candidate will be done in individual subject or final total while converting marks of the individual subject out of 100 or total marks out of 300. For example, if the total of the marks in three subjects comes to 149 out of 300, percentage comes to 49.66 that will not qualify the candidate

  • The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination i.e. HSC or equivalent in March/April 2016 are also eligible to appear for ASSO CET 2016, provided they must fulfill the eligibility criteria

Dear Sreenivasan, NBE hasn't released NEET PG official notification and schedule yet. As of now, all we have is a tentative schedule. The official notification will be released tentatively during the 1st or 2nd weeks of November. To be eligible for NEET PG, you should be able to complete your 1 year Mandatory Internship ateast by March 31st,  2020. how many phsically handicapped seats qouta in M.D.S in government Colleges .........in neet pg M.D.S

hello aspirant,

there are total 1352 seats are available in government colleges in india for M.D.S. however as per the rules of government of india 3% seats are reserve for physically handicapped candidate, (only for physically handicapped with the locomotory disorders and that too with disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% as per MCI regulation) . so total 40 seats are for physically handicapped.

is any minimum markes in mbbs criteria for neet pg 2020?

Greetings!

You will be happy to know that there's no minimum percentage which needs to be obtained by medical graduates to be eligible for neet pg . To be eligible  for neet pg  medical graduates are required to possess Indian Medical Council Act 1956 recognised MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate. Candidates are required to mandatorily have permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification which is to be issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC) and candidate must complete their one year internship on or before March 31, 2020 to be eligible for Neet pg 2020. when I open any college profile, there is written - (Exams accepted Neet UG,Neet PG. etc) what does that mean?

Dear Utsav, that actually means the College in particular has MBBS, MD,MS courses and the admissions to these courses are through NEET UG, NEET PG,etc. Apart from MBBS, courses like BDS, Ayush, Veterinary sciences also conduct admissions through NEET. In some States, courses like Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy also accept NEET score. So, if you are searching for any Medical College, this information showing up is pretty normal.

How many attempts are allowed for NEET PG exams?

Dear Priya, there is no upper age limit for appearing for NEET PG and also there is no cap on the number of times one can appear for NEET PG. As long as you fulfil the eligibility crtieria, you are eligible to appear for NEET PG. Having said that, with amendments to NMC Bill, in the next 3 years, NEET PG may be scrapped. Until then, NEET PG will be the entrance exam for admission to MD/MS courses.
