BVP CET Medical 2016 is a national level medical entrance test conducted for admission to as many as 300 seats in each MBBS and BDS courses in two medical and three dental colleges affiliated to Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University.
The BVP CET Medical 2016 will be conducted on May 7, 2016 for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in five constituent institutes of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University which are Medical College, Pune and Medical College and Hospital, Sangli, Dental College and Hospital, Pune, Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai, and Dental College and Hospital, Sangli.

Given below are the detailed eligibility criteria for BVP CET Medical 2016:
Nationality and Age:
The applicant should be an Indian national.
The applicant must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or on or before 31st December 2016.
The aspirant should have completed at least 12 years of study equivalent to 10+2/HSC from any recognized Board/ University and any school/college situated in India.
The aspirant should have passed HSC or Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2/HSC examination with subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Candidates must have obtained minimum 50% (for SC / ST candidate, at least 40%) marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in the qualifying examination i.e., 10+2/HSC or equivalent
The candidate belonging to the scheduled castes/scheduled tribes should have obtained at least 40 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examinations i.e. 10+2/HSC or equivalent
Candidates who are likely to appear or who have appeared for 10+2/H.S.C. or equivalent examination and are waiting for their results can also appear for BVP CET medical 2016. However, they will be considered provisionally eligible to appear for the entrance test
BVP CET Medical 2016 Qualifying Marks:
The candidate should have secured at least 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together to qualify the entrance test
Candidates belonging SC/ST category need to score minimum 40% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at BVP CET Medical 2016 in order to make it in merit list
BVP CET Medical 2016 Application form can be filled through both offline format as well as online mode of registration. Candidates please make note that the application procedure is common for MBBS and BDS admissions at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University. The application form of BVP CET Medical 2016 are now available and the last date to fill the application forms is April 30, 2016.
The BVP CET Medical 2016 is a pen and paper based exam that will consist of one paper carrying 200 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each. The paper will have 50 questions on each Physics and Chemistry and 100 questions on Biology. Aspirants will be given 3 hours to complete the paper.

Yes. According to the new criteria all students who want to appear for MBBS have to appear for NEET and there will be no separate tests for AIIMS and JIPMER. Admission in both the Institutions will be on the baiss of NEET score only. So the news you have heard is absolutely true.
