BVP Medical 2016 Merit List – Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has decided to accept NEET 2016 score for admission to MBBS and BDS seats in affiliated medical and dental colleges of the state. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University will prepare BVP Medical 2016 merit list based on NEET 2016 score for admission to 300 MBBS and 300 BDS seats in affiliated medical and dental colleges

BVP Medical 2016 merit list will be announced by Bharati Vidyapeeth University in the month of August, 2016 (tentatively). All candidates who are desirous to seek admission in medical and dental colleges of Uttar Pradesh have to appear in NEET 2016. Candidates who have appeared in NEET 2016 Phase 1 or will be appearing in NEET 2016 Phase 2, which is scheduled to be held on July 24, 2016 and have also fill the admission form to become eligible for  participating in the counselling procedure.

As per the NEET 2016 qualifying criteria for counselling, general category candidates have to score 50% while for OBC candidates have to score 45% in the entrance exam. The table given below shows the category wise qualifying marks in NEET 2016.


Qualifying marks out of total 720 marks


50% which is equal to 360 marks


40% which is equal to 288 marks

General PH

45% which is equal to 324 marks

Reserved PH

40% which is equal to 288 marks

 Highlights of BVP Medical 2016 Merit List:

  • The merit list will be released in the month of August, 2016

  • BVP Medical merit list 2016 will consist of candidate’s name, rank in state merit list, total marks secured in NEET 2016, etc.

  • Candidates who had not filled BVP Medical 2016 application forms will not be considered for admission in MBBS and BDS programme in respective medical and dental colleges    

  • The allocation of MBBS BDS seats will be done strictly on the basis of candidate’s rank in BVP Medical 2016 merit list and their preference

  • The schedule of BVP Medical 2016 Counselling will be released after the declaration of the merit list

I am extremely sorry to tell you but you haven't mentioned the name of the college for which you are interested in knowing marks required in neet to get a seat, let me know it so that I can help you with relevant and detailed informations. But generally if you belong to general category then you need to  get at least 550 marks or more to get  a seat in government medical college.  If you want to get a seat in top colleges like Maulana Azad Medical College then you should target at least 600+ marks,  also cut off marks for Medical Colleges keeps changing depending upon several factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks scored by students, toughness level of exam etc. So , prepare well for neet.


How can I prepare for neet exam in 15 months

Dear Aspirant,

15 months are more than enough for you to get into your dream medical college. The most important thing you need is just be consistent throughout your journey. Prepare everyday and with a proper fixed time table.

You should also familiarize yourself with the syllabus and prepare with the pace which suits your need and do not depend upon your school's pace.

Then go through all the NCERT textbooks and if you can afford, then buy some coaching material or better you should join one coaching as it will help you with the consistency part.

For Physics, along with NCERT, study Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma and Objective Physics By DC Pandey.
For Chemistry-
  • NCERT chemistry text books for class 11 and 12
  • Practise books by VK Jaiswal (Inorganic), MS Chauhan (Organic) and N Awasthi (Physical)

For biology,
NCERT books, these will help you to clear the basics. You can also study Objective Biology by Dinesh, Biology Vol1 and Vol2 by Trueman.


neet registration date 2020 will start when

NEET 2020 will be held on May 3 in pen and paper-based mode.
Registration for NEET 2020 will be started on December 2, 2019 and the last date is December 31, 2019. And also te last date to submit the registration fee.
The correction window for the registered applications will be opened in January, 2020 (particular date not discloses yet).

In NEET For which chapters of biology the questions may come from other than NCERT ??

It is very tough to predict that from which chapter questions will be out of NCERT Books.Most of the questions are asked from NCERT books as of now nearly 85-90%. It is advised that you should study NCERT Book thoroughly as much as you can. It will be sufficiently helpful for you..
