CG PMT 2016 Result - CGDME has announced CG PMT 2016 merit list. Earlier, the result of CG PMT 2016 has been declared on June 24, 2016. Candidates, who have appeared in CG PMT 2016, can check result & merit list below on this page. The CG PMT result 2016 has been declared for those candidates, who have scored a minimum of pre-determined qualifying marks in the entrance exam.

After the declaration of CG PMT result 2016, the exam conducting authority, Directorate of Medical Education Chhattisgarh has released a merit list. The merit list has been prepared on the basis of candidate’s marks in CG PMT 2016 and choice filled in the application form.

In order to qualify CG PMT 2016, candidates belonging to General category have to score a minimum of 50% marks, whereas candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category have to secure a total of 40% marks in the entrance exam, CG PMT 2016.


In case of Tie in CG PMT 2016 Score:

  • First order of preference: Applicant with higher marks in Biology, has been placed higher in the merit list

  • Second order of preference: Applicant with higher marks in Chemistry, has been placed higher in the merit list

  • Third order of preference: Applicant with earlier date of birth (DOB), has been placed higher in the order of merit

CG PMT 2016 was conducted on June 15, 2016  for providing admissions to undergraduate medical programmes in medical and dental colleges of Chhattisgarh.


CG PMT 2016 will continue to be gateway for admission to state medical colleges in the admission year 2016. The exam, which earlier stood cancelled as per the Supreme Court order on May 9, 2016again comes into effect after the Centre brought an ordinance on NEETwhich put state entrance tests out of NEET ambit for 2016 admission year. However, NEET phase 2, applicable for admissions to 15 per cent all India quota in government colleges; and private and deemed institutions, is still open for all.

Hello there!


I am extremely sorry to tell you but you haven't mentioned the name of the college for which you are interested in knowing marks required in neet to get a seat, let me know it so that I can help you with relevant and detailed informations. But generally if you belong to general category then you need to  get at least 550 marks or more to get  a seat in government medical college.  If you want to get a seat in top colleges like Maulana Azad Medical College then you should target at least 600+ marks,  also cut off marks for Medical Colleges keeps changing depending upon several factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks scored by students, toughness level of exam etc. So , prepare well for neet.


How can I prepare for neet exam in 15 months

Dear Aspirant,

15 months are more than enough for you to get into your dream medical college. The most important thing you need is just be consistent throughout your journey. Prepare everyday and with a proper fixed time table.

You should also familiarize yourself with the syllabus and prepare with the pace which suits your need and do not depend upon your school's pace.

Then go through all the NCERT textbooks and if you can afford, then buy some coaching material or better you should join one coaching as it will help you with the consistency part.

For Physics, along with NCERT, study Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma and Objective Physics By DC Pandey.
For Chemistry-
  • NCERT chemistry text books for class 11 and 12
  • Practise books by VK Jaiswal (Inorganic), MS Chauhan (Organic) and N Awasthi (Physical)

For biology,
NCERT books, these will help you to clear the basics. You can also study Objective Biology by Dinesh, Biology Vol1 and Vol2 by Trueman.


neet registration date 2020 will start when

NEET 2020 will be held on May 3 in pen and paper-based mode.
Registration for NEET 2020 will be started on December 2, 2019 and the last date is December 31, 2019. And also te last date to submit the registration fee.
The correction window for the registered applications will be opened in January, 2020 (particular date not discloses yet).

In NEET For which chapters of biology the questions may come from other than NCERT ??

It is very tough to predict that from which chapter questions will be out of NCERT Books.Most of the questions are asked from NCERT books as of now nearly 85-90%. It is advised that you should study NCERT Book thoroughly as much as you can. It will be sufficiently helpful for you..
