what marks should we get in Neet to enter govt medical college

Pankhuri Kumari 17th Feb, 2020

Hii Preethi!

The cut-offs vary every year on state as well as all India quota level for NEET. You need to mention the state in the question, in which you are interested to take admissions in the medical colleges. Talking about the general cutoff all over India, you need to score 650+ marks out of 720 to be able to get a seat in government medical College or to increase the probability to get a seat. The cutoff trend is shown in the link given below which will help you analyse the situation and decide well -

Hope this helps.

Good luck!

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 17th Feb, 2020

Going by previous All India cut offs and your rank, you may have decent chances in Santosh Medical College for MS Opthamology.Having said that, this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, difficulty of the exam, and no.of seats available for each specialisation. i am from Kerala belonging to ews category and how much mark should I score in neet 2020 to get an MBBS seat in govt medical college in Kerala

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 17th Feb, 2020

Kerala is one of the States with higher cut offs. EWS resrvation was started from 2019 and we do not have 2019 data yet. But considering the fact that EWS reservation takes its slice from General Category, you will need anything between 550-575 for a seat in any of the GMCs in Kerala. Now cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Christian Medical College, Ludhiana

St.John's National Academy of Health Sciences, Bangalore

Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai
