CMC Vellore MBBS 2015 Cut Off - The cut off score of CMC Vellore MBBS 2015 is minimum qualifying marks which must be secured by candidates to qualify the entrance test. According to officials, only those candidates qualify the entrance exam who will score an aggregate of 140/200 in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology taken together).

Candidates can check the category wise qualifying marks for CMC Vellore MBBS 2015 from the table given below:

55% in each and 120/200 aggregate

SC/ST

40% in each and 80/200 aggregate

For example: If a candidate has 72% in Biology, 66% in Chemistry and 70% in Physics, then the aggregate works out to: {72 + (66 +70)/2} or {72 + 68} out of 200, i.e. 140/200 and is eligible. However, a candidate with 68 in Biology, 72 in Chemistry and 70 in Physics will have only {68+ (72+70)/2} on 200 or {68+71} on 200 i.e. 139/200 and is not eligible.

The shortlisted candidates of CMC Vellore MBBS 2015 Stage 1 will be invited for Step-2 which consists of special tests to assess the candidate character and aptitude. At the time of the Step-2 for MBBS, degree courses, Christian students who have applied under the sponsored category will be given a test on Bible Knowledge (50 multiple choice questions).

 

Based on the CMC Vellore MBBS 2015 cut off score, examination authority will prepare merit list of MBBS. Candidates will be called for counselling as per their rank in CMC Vellore MBBS 2015 merit list.

 

The CMC Vellore MBBS 2015 merit list will not only depend merely on academic but also on suitability to pursue a professional career in medicine. Selections are based on two broad categories - Open and Sponsored. The CMC Vellore MBBS 2015 cut off will be based on the distribution of seats, which will be as follows:

All India Open - 16 seats

  • One candidate will be selected by the Government of India

  • Twenty percent (3 seats) of the open seats shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Tribes (SC/ST). The candidates belonging to SC/ST should indicate this on the application form and a photocopy of the certificate of proof issued by the Deputy Tahsildar or the District Magistrate must be enclosed.

Sponsored Candidates - 84 seats

  • Up to 84 seats will be reserved for the sponsored candidates

Hello there!
Greetings!
No , there will be no problem , you are eligible for neet even if you have 4 year gaps between your 10th and 12th as to be eligible for Neet the condition is that a general category student needs to have passed class 12th with 50 % in pcb aggregate,  while it's 40% for obc , sc, st.  So , if you fulfil this with criteria then you are eligible for neet,  also there's no upper age limit for neet so you don't need to worry about that as well.

Dear Aspirant,

According to last year statistics, a home-general candidate get into Maulana Azad Medical College with around 586 marks in NEET-UG. However, these trends are subjected to change over the years. For General candidate 580+ marks are needed to ensure a seat in MAMC. For OBC you might expect the bracket to go down by 5-10 marks. The opening and closing AIR for OBC last year was 32 and 112 respectively.

However, this year with the inclusion of AIIMS and JIPMER, there may be some changes in the required marks. Try for 570 though, that will be enough.

I belong to bc category. how much mark should i get in neet to get a seat in stanley college under state quota ?

Dear Jonathan, we do not have 2019 data yet. Neverthless, in 2018, under State Quota, 440 marks secured a seat in Stanley Medical College under General Category. As mentioned, this is 2018 data and cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of candidates appearing for the exam, no.of candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Now in 2019, on an average the cut offs increased by 60-75 marks. Now Tamilnadu is planning on starting atleast 6 new Medical Colleges this year. With the availability of the seats, the cut offs might decrease. Having said to get a seat in Stanley Medical College, you should aim for nothing less 550-580.
