COMEDK PGET 2016 Syllabus: The syllabus of post graduate Medical and Dental entrance test will be based on the MBBS and BDS syllabus as prescribed by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India.

Section I : Direct MCQ’s – 120 questions of 1 mark each

 

Section I : Direct MCQ’s – 148 questions of 1 mark each

 

Section II : Clinical vignettes linked MCQs– 60 question of 1 mark each

 

Section II : Clinical vignettes linked MCQs– 32 question of 1 mark each

  •  Exam Date & Time – The exam is schedule to be held on January 17, 2016. The Exam will be held for 3 hours beginning from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM
  • There will be one separate test for PG Medical and one separate test for PG Dental programmes

  • Each correct answer will be awarded with one mark

  • No marks will be awarded for multiple marking of any question

  • There will be no negative marking

  • A merit/rank list will be generated based on the candidate’s score in the entrance exam

  • The rank list will be basis for participation in the seat selection process (Counselling)

  • Candidates belonging to General Category are required to obtain a minimum of 50% and above in the entrance exam whereas, candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories are required to obtain a minimum of 40% marks

Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is a pre requisite entrance exam conducted for admission to Post Graduate Degree and Diploma courses of Karnataka. COMEDK PGET 2016 is scheduled to be conducted on January 17, 2016 for seeking admissions to post graduate courses in the participating institutes of the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation Trust (KPCF). Through COMEDK PGET 2016, candidates will be given admissions to as many as 600 seats in 12 Medical and 19 Dental Colleges of Karnataka.

The NEET PG 2020 eligibility criteria for aspirants appearing in the postgraduate medical examination has been listed below.

Candidates must possess a valid MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), and have an MBBS degree or provisional certificate to that effect.
Completion of the rotatory internship on or before March 31, 2020.
Provisional or permanent medical registration certificate issued by MCI or a State Medical Council. This must be carried on the day of the exam and during admission.
Candidates who have studied/qualified MBBS from Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for All India 50% Quota seats. Only candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to study MBBS from Medical Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible for All India 50% quota seats. Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring this.

Dear Sreenivasan, NBE hasn't released NEET PG official notification and schedule yet. As of now, all we have is a tentative schedule. The official notification will be released tentatively during the 1st or 2nd weeks of November. To be eligible for NEET PG, you should be able to complete your 1 year Mandatory Internship ateast by March 31st,  2020. how many phsically handicapped seats qouta in M.D.S in government Colleges .........in neet pg M.D.S

hello aspirant,

there are total 1352 seats are available in government colleges in india for M.D.S. however as per the rules of government of india 3% seats are reserve for physically handicapped candidate, (only for physically handicapped with the locomotory disorders and that too with disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% as per MCI regulation) . so total 40 seats are for physically handicapped.

You will be happy to know that there's no minimum percentage which needs to be obtained by medical graduates to be eligible for neet pg . To be eligible  for neet pg  medical graduates are required to possess Indian Medical Council Act 1956 recognised MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate. Candidates are required to mandatorily have permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification which is to be issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC) and candidate must complete their one year internship on or before March 31, 2020 to be eligible for Neet pg 2020. when I open any college profile, there is written - (Exams accepted Neet UG,Neet PG. etc) what does that mean?

Dear Utsav, that actually means the College in particular has MBBS, MD,MS courses and the admissions to these courses are through NEET UG, NEET PG,etc. Apart from MBBS, courses like BDS, Ayush, Veterinary sciences also conduct admissions through NEET. In some States, courses like Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy also accept NEET score. So, if you are searching for any Medical College, this information showing up is pretty normal.
