DNB CET 2016 Exam Pattern – DNB CET 2016 is a national level entrance examination and is an essential pre-requisite for entry to DNB Broad Specialty and Post MBBS Direct 6 year’s super specialty courses. The DNB CET 2016 exam pattern helps candidates to know the overview about exam duration, number of question, marking scheme, syllabus, etc. The entrance exam of DNB CET 2016 will be a computer based test. The online questions booklet of DNB CET 2016 will be as per the syllabus as prescribed by the examination authority. Highlights of DNB CET 2016 exam pattern is given below:
Exam Day & Time – DNB CET 2016 is scheduled to be conducted from Novermber 28, 2015 to December 1, 2015 for the January session and will be held in July 2016 for the July session.The exam will be conducted in two sessions i.e. morning and afternoon session. The total duration of the exam will be of 3 hours and 45 minutes. Additionally, 15 minutes of tutorial time has been given to candidates.

Mode of DNB CET 2016 – Exam will be conducted in online mode only i.e. Computer Based Test (CBT)
Language of Online Exam Booklet – The question booklet provided to candidates will be only in English language
Number of questions - The online question booklet of DNB CET 2016 of both January session and July session will consist of 300 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with single correct response
DNB CET 2016 marking scheme - The weightage of MCQ’s in each specialty will vary and examination authority, NBE has right to alter/vary/amend the marks of the question
Negative Marking - No negative marking in DNB CET 2016
DNB CET 2016 Syllabus - The booklet of DNB CET 2016 exam will have questions from subjects taught during the MBBS course including pre-clinical, para-clinical and clinical.

Last year, DNB CET January session exam was conducted for as many as 748 seats in approximately 30 disciplines of higher studies in super speciality courses. Only those candidates are eligible for DNB CET 2016 January Session, who holds MBBS degree and has obtained registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils after completing compulsory rotating internship. According to officials, for DNB CET January session candidates must have completed their internship before January 31, 2016 while for July session candidates must have completed their internship before July 31, 2016.
DNB CET 2016 qualifying Marks:
The qualifying mark of DNB CET 2016 is 50% marks for general category, 40% for SC, ST and OBC category and 45% for candidates with Persons with Disability. The graph given below shows the cut score of DNB CET 2016 for candidates under various categories:
