DNB CET 2016 Result

DNB CET 2016 Result - The result of DNB CET 2016 July session has been declared on August 1, 2016 only for those candidates who have scored the qualifying marks in the entrance exam. According to officials, in order to qualify DNB CET 2016 July session exam general candidates have to score 50% and OBC, SC/ST category candidates have to score 40%. DNB CET 2016 result has been declared as score card which has candidate’s marks, all India rank, roll number, etc.

DNB CET 2016 result cum scorecard will be the basis for allotment of as many 748 seats in approximately 30 disciplines of higher studies in medical speciality courses. DNB CET 2016 is conducted twice a year one for January and other for July session for admission to various Post Graduate courses including Direct 6 year’s course in the specialty of Plastic Surgery, Neuro-Surgery, Cardio-thoracic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery.  DNB CET qualifications are recognized and accepted as high standard specialist qualifications.

Qualifying Marks for DNB CET 2016:

The merit list of DNB CET 2016 will be based on the candidates score in the entrance exam. DNB CET 2016 merit list will be prepared only for those candidates who will secure the qualifying marks in the entrance exam. The minimum qualifying marks of DNB CET 2016 for different categories are given below: 

Validity of DNB CET 2016 Result:

The validity of DNB CET 2016 result is only for the current admission session i.e. July 2016 admission session only and cannot be carried forward for the next session of DNB 2016 CET.

DNB CET 2016 Results – Equating & Scaling:

While deriving DNB CET 2016 July session result examination authority follows a standard psychometrically-sound approach for evaluating the scoring process. During post-equating, test items are concurrently analyzed and the estimated item parameters (item difficulty and discrimination) are put onto a common metric. Post equating takes into account any statistical differences in examination difficulty and ensures all candidates are evaluated on a common scale.

DNB CET 2016 Tie Breaker Criteria:

The examination authority will implemented to resolve tie breaker criteria. 

• Candidate who has passed all MBBS professional Examinations in First attempt shall be placed at higher merit position

• Candidate with higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS professional Examinations shall be placed at higher merit position

• Candidate with higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in 3rd MBBS professional Examination (Part I & Part- II) shall be placed a t higher merit position

• Candidate with higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in 2nd MBBS professional Examination shall be placed at higher merit position

• Candidate with higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in 1st MBBS professional Examination shall be placed at higher merit position

DNB CET 2016 Counselling:

Candidates who have qualified DNB CET 2016 and fulfil the eligibility criteria for admission to DNB Broad Specialty including Direct 6 Years courses (at various NBE accredited Medical colleges/Institutions/Hospitals in India can  participate in the DNB CET 2016 counselling for allocation of seats purely on merit cum choice basis. The candidate need not appear for DNB CET 2016 counselling in-person at NBE office Delhi for opting out for further round of counselling.
