DPU AICET 2016 Merit List: Dr. D.Y.Patil Vidyapeeth University, Pune, the counselling conducting authority for DPU AICET 2016 has been released provisional DPU AICET merit list 2016 on September 2, 2016. DPU AICET 2016 merit list will be issued as per candidates scores in NEET-1/NEET-2. This comes after the Supreme Court’s ruling of May 9, 2016 on scrapping all private, deemed and central universities’ medical entrance examinations from the academic session 2016-17. Candidates who have appeared in NEET-1 or NEET-2 will only be eligible to participate in the counselling procedure of DPU AICET 2016.


Candidates who are desirous to take admission in constitutent colleges of DPU need to apply to the Dean, Dr. DY Patil Medical College, Hospital and Reserach Centre, Pimpri, Pune for MBBS and BDS programmes along with All India rank and marks of NEET 2016. The last date to fill application forms will be August 31, 2016. The selection of candidates for MBBS and BDS programmes will be done on the basis of merit of candidates reported for the counselling.

Important highlights of DPU AICET 2016 Merit List:

  • The merit list has been released on September 2, 2016

  • DPU AICET merit list 2016 will consist of candidate’s name, merit rank and total marks obtained

  • Candidate whose name will appear in the merit list will have to undergo the counselling procedure of DPU AICET 2016 counselling procedure

  • DPU AICET 2016 Counselling will be held on September 6 & 7, 2016

I am extremely sorry to tell you but you haven't mentioned the name of the college for which you are interested in knowing marks required in neet to get a seat, let me know it so that I can help you with relevant and detailed informations. But generally if you belong to general category then you need to  get at least 550 marks or more to get  a seat in government medical college.  If you want to get a seat in top colleges like Maulana Azad Medical College then you should target at least 600+ marks,  also cut off marks for Medical Colleges keeps changing depending upon several factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks scored by students, toughness level of exam etc. So , prepare well for neet.


How can I prepare for neet exam in 15 months

Dear Aspirant,

15 months are more than enough for you to get into your dream medical college. The most important thing you need is just be consistent throughout your journey. Prepare everyday and with a proper fixed time table.

You should also familiarize yourself with the syllabus and prepare with the pace which suits your need and do not depend upon your school's pace.

Then go through all the NCERT textbooks and if you can afford, then buy some coaching material or better you should join one coaching as it will help you with the consistency part.

For Physics, along with NCERT, study Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma and Objective Physics By DC Pandey.
For Chemistry-
  • NCERT chemistry text books for class 11 and 12
  • Practise books by VK Jaiswal (Inorganic), MS Chauhan (Organic) and N Awasthi (Physical)

For biology,
NCERT books, these will help you to clear the basics. You can also study Objective Biology by Dinesh, Biology Vol1 and Vol2 by Trueman.


neet registration date 2020 will start when

NEET 2020 will be held on May 3 in pen and paper-based mode.
Registration for NEET 2020 will be started on December 2, 2019 and the last date is December 31, 2019. And also te last date to submit the registration fee.
The correction window for the registered applications will be opened in January, 2020 (particular date not discloses yet).

In NEET For which chapters of biology the questions may come from other than NCERT ??

It is very tough to predict that from which chapter questions will be out of NCERT Books.Most of the questions are asked from NCERT books as of now nearly 85-90%. It is advised that you should study NCERT Book thoroughly as much as you can. It will be sufficiently helpful for you..
