NEET preparation tips - The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced some latest changes in the NEET exam pattern 2021. As per the latest update on NEET UG 2021 exam pattern, NTA has increased the number of questions to 200 which includes the questions from Class 11 and 12 syllabi from physics, chemistry and biology subjects. Out of which aspirants have to attempt only 180 questions of their choices.

In the NEET 2021 question paper, each subject will have two sections, Section A and Section B containing 35 and 15 questions respectively. Out of the 15 questions asked in Section B, students will have an option to attempt 10 questions.

Advantages and disadvantages of new NEET 2021 exam pattern

As far as the number of questions are concerned, they are still the same. It is known that the number of questions is increased to 200 but students are supposed to answer 180 questions only.

To take advantage of the choice given it is necessary to generate high speed and accuracy because it is already 180 minutes time and 180 questions are supposed to be answered and if you check section B, in which students are given a choice to attempt 10 questions out of 15. But, if a student needs to read some extra questions, then they need some extra time and that is a very critical point because if you pay extra time to the question, it may affect your completion of the paper.

How to prepare for NEET 2021 with new exam pattern - Subject wise

There is nothing new for NEET 2021 exam preparation strategies, because the NEET syllabus is the same, the level of the question is same. The NEET 2021 difficulty level will also be the same.

As per the NEET 2021 exam preparation is concerned and the remaining days in hand for the exam, students should try to revise whole NEET concepts thoroughly.

How to prepare for NEET 2021 with new exam pattern - NEET revision strategies

Students should divide their revision into 3 stages. These NEET revision strategies are very beneficial and boost the level of preparation.

1. The first phase of NEET revision should end by August 20, 2021.

2. The second phase of the NEET 2021 revision should be ended by August 30.

3. The third phase of revision should be over by the first week of September as the NEET exam date is September 12, 2021.

During the NEET 2021 revision, aspirants should study with NCERT, short notes, previously asked questions, and attempt mock tests with the new NEET 2021 exam pattern.

How to prepare for NEET 2021 with new exam pattern - Paper attempting strategies

1. Students must start with the ideal order of the subject, the first biology, then chemistry, and finally then physics.

2. Students must complete ‘Section A’ first because, in section A, they don't have the choice, for every question of section A, they are supposed to attempt all. Section A comprises 140 questions, and that contributes 560 marks. So each and every question of this section is important and needs to be solved. So they must attempt a maximum number of questions from this section in the first go and it should be done in the first 100-110 minutes of exam duration. After that aspirants can fill their answer in the OMR sheet and if they find any trouble in the question they can mark the same to be attempted later.

3. For Section B, students should start attempting the questions but as soon as they reach the completion of 10 questions, aspirants should stop reading other remaining questions because this will save them from killing time. Section B should ideally be completed in 40 minutes.

4. 100 -110 minutes for ‘Section A’, around 40 minutes for ‘Section B’, still students will be left with 30 minutes in hand. In this 30 minutes of the exam duration, students can work on the unattempted questions, in which they were facing problems and marked earlier.

How to prepare for NEET 2021 with new exam pattern - Relaxation is a must
