forensic science is a NEET qualified course

Gehna Chawla 17th Sep, 2019

Hello

No, Giving NEET is not required to get admission in forensic sciences. Colleges and Universities conduct their own entrance exam for admission in  forensic science course.

So you need to stay updated about the entrance exam of the colleges that you are targetting for. I'm listing below a list of good colleges for forensic science in India

  • BHU - Banaras Hindu University
  • MDU - Maharshi Dayanand University
  • Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences
  • Amity University, Gurugram
  • LPU - Lovely Professional University

to get a degree in M.Sc Forensic science, you can have a B.Sc degree in any discipline. If you want to study further and get a P.hd or a M.Phil, you need to score atleast 60% in your M.Sc Forensic Science.

Thankyou, I hope it helps, feel free to approach for further queries

Is mbbs seat is based on neet cutoff for caste wise or do v have a common cutoff?

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 17th Sep, 2019
Dear Aarthy, there are 2 types of Counsellings. All India Counselling and State Counselling. Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC are filled by DGHS. The 85% State Quota and Private Colleges are filled by the respective State Authorities. And there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through Direct Admissions by contacting the College directly. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that. Both the Counsellings will have merit list prepared based on Category of the Candidate and the NEET score. And the admissions are based on the merit list.

how much approx Ive to score in neet 2020 to surely get admission in afmc pune under UR category?

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 17th Sep, 2019
Dear Vibanshu, in 2019, the cut off for male Candidates was 590 and for female Candidates was 610. Now in 2018, it was around 560 for both male and female candidates. Now cut offs chamge every year and are dependant on various factors such as no.of candidates appearing for the exam, no.of candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Now if your target college is AFMC in 2020, you should aim for nothing leas than 650.
