JIPMER PG 2016 Eligibility: Candidates who have completed their MBBS 2016 degree and obtained registration from Medical Council of India after completing their compulsory rotating internship are eligible for applying for JIPMER PG 2016.
Important Eligibility Criterion for JIPMER PG 2016 is given below:
Candidate must possess a MBBS degree from a recognized university by Medical Council of India if they are seeking an admission to MD/MS programmes
Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) can also apply for the JIPMER PG 2015 but they have to submit proof of Registration as OCI at the time of counselling
For July Session: Candidate must have completed the required 12 Months rotating internship/practical training on or before June 30, 2016 if they are applying for JIPMER PG 2016 for July session
The candidate must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in MBBS if he/she belongs to general category or an aggregate of 50% marks if he/she belongs to SC/ST category
JIPMER PG 2016 Exam Pattern: The entrance exam of JIPMER PG 2016 will be a computer based test based on the syllabus as prescribed by the examination authority. The online question booklet of JIPMER PG 2016 will have questions based on the topics taught during MBBS programmes. The questions will be basically from Pre-clinical, Para-clinical and Clinical Phase.
Highlights of JIPMER PG 2016 January session Exam Pattern are mentioned below:

Number of Questions: 250 Objective based multiple choice questions
Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct response
Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response

JIPMER PG 2016 Application Procedure: Candidates can fill the JIPMER PG 2016 July session application form in online mode and fee to be submitted through net banking or debit/credit card. Before filling up the application form candidates are advised to carefully read the information brochure to ascertain their eligibility criteria. The application procedure for JIPMERPG 2016 July session started on February 29. Candidates who wish to pursue MD and MS from JIPMER can fill application form but they must ensure the eligibility criteria before applying.
The cost of JIPMER PG 2016 application form was Rs. 1200 for General/OBC/Sponsored/Foreign and Rs. 800 for SC/ST category candidates. Along with the cost of application fee candidate have to pay the cost of transaction charges of fee payment.
JIPMER PG 2016 Admit Card: Candidates whose application has been accepted can download JIPMER PG 2016 admit card from May 2 to 15, 2015. The admit card/hall ticket have the candidate’s detail like name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions.
JIPMER PG 2016 Result: The result of JIPMER PG 2016 online exam has been declared on May 20, 2016. Candidates can check their JIPMER PG 2016 result by entering their application number and date of birth. According to officials, JIPMER PG result 2016 has been declared only for those candidates who have scored the qualifying marks. As per the qualifying criteria, general category candidates have to score a minimum of 50 percentile in the entrance exam.
JIPMER PG 2016 Merit List: The JIPMER Merit list will be based on the percentile. The percentile will be determined on the basis of the average marks obtained by the first top ten candidates in the JIPMER MD / MS Entrance Examination. In order to be eligible for admission to Postgraduate course at JIPMER, it will be necessary for a candidate to obtain a percentile of 50 and above in the Entrance Examination. However, in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes including OPH, the minimum percentile shall be 40. In respect of Unreserved Orthopedic Physically Challenged (OPH) candidates, 45 shall be the minimum percentile. The validity of Merit list shall be only for the current academic session i.e. January 2016 session admission for MD/MS courses and cannot be carried forward for the next year/session.
JIPMER PG 2016 Counselling: The JIPMER PG 2016 counselling will be conducted in three rounds including open selection. The candidates will be called in batches for counselling as per the Reservation Roster Point. Adequate number of Candidates shall be called from eligible candidates from all the categories so that Roster Point is not blocked for lack of attendance. Counseling will be done according to the category rank (UR / INST / OBC / SC / ST / OPH) and not by the overall rank as per the Roster Point allocation method.
