KEAM Medical 2014 Exam Analysis - About 1, 02, 554 students appeared for KEAM Medical 2014 Exam conducted offline mode on April 23, 2014. According to exam conducting body, Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Thiruvananthapuram, exam was conducted successfully at various examination centres in 20 districts of Kerala including four centres located outside the state and one in Dubai.
Officials of Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) said that 1, 02, 554 students appeared for KEAM Medical 2014 entrance exam. “The exam was conducted smoothly and no problem was reported form any of the centres so far,” they said.

Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Thiruvananthapuram had conducted the KEAM Medical 2014 entrance exam for 2750 MBBS seats and 1120 BDS seats in Government and Private medical colleges of Kerala.
As per the information mentioned in KEAM 2014 admission brochure there are 1000 MBBS seats in 6 Government Medical Colleges, 200 MBBS seats in 2 Government Controlled Self financing Medical Collegesand 1550 MBBS seats in 14 Self-financing Medical Institutes of Kerala. Along with this, here are 150 BDS seats in 3 Government Dental Colleges, 60 seats in 1 Government Controlled Self financing Dental Colleges and 910 seats in 15 Self-financing Dental Institutes of Kerala.
KEAM Medical 2014 exam comprised of 3 papers Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Each paper of KEAM Medical 2014 consisted of 120 objective types multiple choice questions with four options to the each question. Total duration for the paper was 2 and half hours and each question carried 4 marks with the maximum total marks being 960. According to the KEAM notification, there were 1negative marks for the wrong answer which will be deducted from the total scored marks.

The candidates who appeared for KEAM Medical 2014 exam said that physics was the toughest part among the three sections but the overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. Most of the question in Physics was problem based whose solution took time.
Nidant who appeared in KEAM Medical 2014 exam from Mallapuram centre said “Physics was toughest for me. Difficulty level for Biology paper was easy. In Chemistry sections, most number of questions was from Organic section.”
Sharing his exam experience, Gokul, who took the Medical as well as engineering exam of KEAM 2014 said “Biology was easiest for me. Overall the KEAM medical 2014 paper was easier than engineering paper. For me Biology was easiest among the three. Some questions in Physics were tough but most of them were average.”
The answer key of KEAM Medical 2014 of all sets of question booklet has been published by various medical coaching institutes. And the CEE Kerala will release the official answer key of KEAM 2014 Medical Exam on April 24, 2014.

The result of KEAM Medical 2014 will be published on or before May 20, 2014. KEAM Medical 2014 result will be published only for those candidates who secure qualifying marks in the KEAM Medical Entrance Examination 2014.
The students selected for KEAM Medical 2014 Counselling process will be on the basis of KEAM Medical 2014 cutoff. The KEAM Medical 2014 Counselling, for 2750 MBBS seats and 1120 BDS seats will be held online tentatively in the month of June, 2014. As per the age criteria for NEET, candidates need to attain 17 years by 31st December of that appearing year, so yes you can appear for NEET based on this.
You also need to fulfill other eligibility criteria as mentioned below;
Passed or appearing 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects, those having Biology as an additional are also eligible to apply.
PCB aggregate against each category as mentioned below should be attained;
- UR - 50%,
- OBC/SC/ST - 40%,
- PWD - 45%

cut off marks for medical colleges varies depending upon various factors like your domicile state , number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.
But in general as per past year trends , you should try to get at least around 550 to 600 marks to be on the safer side in your neet examination if you want to get a mbbs seat in government medical college

I got 164/300 in PCB , I am from obc category. I am pass in all subjects and english is my core subject physics- Theory-23 practicle-28 chem- T-23 p-28 bio- T-34 P-28 my score is less in theory than practicles in physics and chemistry.. Is I am eligible for NEET??? And for colleges like Aiims?
if we get 59 percentage in board examination then we are prepare neet
Actually your overall % obtained in class 12th board examination is not considered for Neet eligibility , only your aggregate in PCB is considered
And you have not mentioned your aggregate in PCB i.e physics chemistry and Biology .
Neet eligibility criteria says that,
to be eligible you must have passed your 12th with English and PCB (pass in both the theory and practical ) with at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th examination if you belong to general category or at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st .
If you fulfil this criteria then only you are eligible for NEET
