Kerala MBBS Admission 2019 - The Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Thiruvananthapuram is the conducting body for Kerala MBBS 2019 admission. The authority had released the application form of Kerala MBBS 2019 for Phase one from February 3, which was available till March 4. The counselling body has started the one-time facility for the registered aspirants to correct/edit the details in the Kerala MBBS 2019 application form. Aspirants are allowed to make the corrections till March 7, 2019. The course options, payment of application fees and documents to be uploaded can be edited. Candidates are required to fill the application form in the online mode and upload the supporting documents with the application form. The last date to upload the documents is March 31, 2019.

To participate in Kerala MBBS 2019 admission process, interested candidates will be required to communicate their interest of participating in Kerala MBBS counselling 2019 by filling the KEAM 2019 application form. Earlier, a notice was issued on November 19 specifying that admission to Kerala MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BSMS, BUMS, BSc (Agr.), BVSc, BSc (Forestry) and BFSc will be taken through NEET UG. CEE will give admission to 85% state quota MBBS and BDS seats in government and all the seats in self-financing/private medical and dental colleges in Kerala, through a centralized counselling conducted in three phases. An additional fourth phase of counselling for BDS course will be conducted subject to the vacancy of seats. Candidates who will qualify NEET 2019 and will fill the Kerala MBBS application form will be allotted a state merit rank which will be intimated through the Kerala MBBS merit list 2019. These applicants will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. Kerala MBBS BDS Eligibility Criteria 2019

It is required of candidates to fulfil the Kerala MBBS eligibility criteria before filling the KEAM MBBS application form. The eligibility criteria for admission to Kerala MBBS BDS is given below-

  • Age limit - Candidates must be at least 17 years of age. The candidates crossing the upper age limit of NEET i.e. 25 years and above (30 years and above for reserved category candidates) are eligible to take NEET 2019 but whether they will be eligible for Kerala MBBS admission will be declared the Supreme Court.

  • Educational Qualification - Candidates are required to pass in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English by scoring qualifying marks in each of these subjects. Along with this, candidates need to pass in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology (PCB) in Class 12th with at least 50% (40% for SC/ST category and 45% for SEBC) in aggregate.

  • Nativity - For admission to 85% seats of government colleges and 50% seats of private colleges, candidates need to show that they are Indian citizens of Kerala origin. 

  • NEET 2019 Qualification - Only those candidates who will qualify NEET 2019 with at least 50th percentile (45th percentile for UR-PH candidates and 40th percentile for reserved category candidates) will be eligible for Kerala MBBS admission 2019.


Kerala MBBS BDS Application Form 2019

Candidates seeking admission to Kerala MBBS BDS courses are required to fill online KEAM application form. The authority has announced the extension of the last date to fill the application form of Kerala MBBS 2019. Candidates can fill the application form from February 3 to March 4, 2019, up to 5:00 PM. Candidates also need to upload the supporting documents along with the application form of Kerala MBBS BDS 2019 application form. However, the certificate of nativity and birth certificate has to be uploaded positively by February 28.  The last date to upload the documents is March 31, 2019. KEAM is a portal through which candidates will be required to fill Kerala MBBS 2019 application form and counselling process for MBBS/BDS 2019 admissions. CEE has opened the Kerala MBBS BDS application form 2019 for the first phase and it will also be opened after the conduction of NEET 2019 exam. Given below are some important points of Kerala MBBS BDS application form 2019.


  • CEE will provide the window for Kerala MBBS application form filling twice for the academic year 2019-  once in February and then in May. Although, the window to apply for Kerala MBBS admissions given in May is of lesser days compared to that in February.

  • Once the KEAM MBBS application form is filled, candidates need to take a printout, affix a passport size photograph on it, get it attested by a Gazetted officer or Head of the institution last attended, and finally send the printout of the Kerala MBBS application form to CEE on or before the last date of sending the registration form.

  • Kerala MBBS BDS registration procedure is a six-step process, including registration by the candidate, uploading images, filling Kerala MBBS application form, paying the registration fee, printing the application and sending the form to the conducting body.

  • Kerala MBBS application fee is INR 500/- for general category candidates and INR 200/- for SC category candidates, while ST category candidates are exempted from paying the application fee. Any candidate who is not SC/St will fall under the general category.

  • Kerala MBBS BDS application form fee can be remitted through credit/debit card, net banking or e-challan.

Kerala MBBS BDS Merit List 2019

CEE will publish the eligible list of candidates for Kerala MBBS counselling process. The Kerala MBBS merit list 2019 will contain the list of candidates who are eligible to participate in the counselling process. Therefore, candidates who have qualified NEET 2019 exam and have applied for Kerala MBBS/BDS admission 2019 by filling KEAM 2019 application form will be considered for the inclusion in the merit list of Kerala MBBS 2019. Kerala MBBS merit list 2019 published by CEE will allot ‘state rank’ to the candidates on the basis of their NEET UG scores. Besides state rank, Kerala MBBS 2019 merit list will also mention candidate’s roll number, NEET score, NEET rank, etc. CEE, at first, will release the provisional merit list. The candidates whose documents are not uploaded on the website will be given an option to upload all the documents and then the revised Kerala MBBS merit list will be published. Besides publishing an overall merit list, CEE also publishes a separate category-wise merit list of Kerala MBBS 2019 for PwD, NRI and minority quota candidates.

Kerala MBBS BDS Counselling 2019

The Kerala MBBS counselling 2019 will be conducted through online Centralised Admission Process (CAP). CEE will conduct the Kerala MBBS 2019 counselling in three phases - first, second and mop-up round. The counselling process will start after the release of Kerala MBBS merit list. Since, the mode of conduct of Kerala MBBS counselling is online, candidates need to submit web options for submitting preferences. Before the starting of the second round, admission seekers will be given an option to re-arrange their options. It is likely that mop-up round of Kerala MBBS counselling is held in offline mode for which candidates will be required to report to the allotted centre.

Kerala MBBS BDS Seat Allotment 2019

The result of Kerala MBBS counselling will be released in the form of seat allotment list. The mode of release of Kerala MBBS BDS seat allotment list will be only. The list will contain the name of the candidates, the course and college allotted, the category of seat and candidate’s category. Candidates whose names will be included in the Kerala MBBS BDS seat allotment must report to the allotted college to take admission failing which their candidature will be cancelled. 

Kerala MBBS NEET Cutoff 2019

NEET 2019 cutoff Kerala will be declared after the conclusion of the Kerala MBBS counselling process. Kerala MBBS NEET cutoff signifies the closing rank and its equivalent score considered for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. The cutoff will be released in online mode only. To help candidates, the Kerala MBBS NEET cutoff of the previous year will be provided so that candidates will get an idea of the preferences to be submitted in the counselling process as per their NEET 2019 score.
