State and private medical and dental entrance examinations scheduled to be conducted in 2016-17 academic session have either been cancelled or postponed as per an interim order by the Supreme Court. The SC had ruled that no state government, private colleges, association or deemed university can conduct separate exam for admissions to MBBS or BDS courses. The order related to cancellation of state and private medical and dental entrance exam was passed on May 6, 2016 by a Supreme Court bench comprising three judges headed by Justice AR Dave. According to the SC order “No examination shall be permitted to be held for admission to MBBS or BDS studies by any state, private college or association or any private/deemed university”.

As per the order passed by apex court, admission to medical and dental seats offered at private colleges will be done through AIPMT/NEET 2016 score. Moreover, all candidates irrespective of their appearance in AIPMT/NEET Phase 1 held on May 1 can take phase 2 of NEET 2016 schedule to be conducted on July 24, 2016. Student as you said you want to do bachelors in physiotherapy in Delhi University should you student if you want to do the scores from Delhi University then yes neet is an essential criteria for you to crack to get admission in bpt college in Delhi . While they are private colleges and Delhi who might conduct their own exam to take students for this course.
