Maharashtra PG Medical Admission 2020: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Maharashtra, has released the official dates for Maharashtra PG medical counselling 2020 on February 10. The counselling session will start from April 5, 2020. The authority will start the online registration for the admission in the third week of February. In order to apply for the Maharashtra PG medical/dental 2020 admission, aspirants are required to fill Maharashtra PG medical application form 2020. Candidates who qualify NEET PG exam and fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the authority will only be eligible to apply for Maharashtra PG medical admission 2020. After the completion of the registration, the authority will release a merit list with the names of all the eligible candidates. Those candidates will be called for Maharashtra PG medical counselling 2020, which will be also be conducted in the first week of April in three rounds, including a mock up round. The counselling for Maharashtra PG medical admission 2020 will be done on the grounds of the state merit list. While registering for Maharashtra PG medical admission counselling, candidates will have to fill colleges as well courses according to their preference. To be aware of the eligibility criteria set by the authority is extremely important for candidates who wish to apply for Maharashtra PG medical admission 2020. Interested aspirants can check the eligibility below.
Candidates should be citizens of India. A Nationality Certificate shall be issued by the District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan
Magistrate or valid Passport or School Leaving Certificate of HSC/12th Std. indicating the nationality of the candidate as “Indian” shall constitute the proof of nationality
NRIs are not eligible for any other seat except for a maximum of 15% NRI quota seats in unaided private and Private Minority medical colleges.
Candidates who are domicile of Maharashtra and have obtained admission under 15% All India Quota/AIIMS/Central Government Institutions for MBBS course in the medical college/institution situated outside Maharashtra State as well as those who have obtained the degree from a University situated outside the State of Maharashtra will also be eligible for Maharashtra PG medical admission 2020. However, such candidates are required to submit a certificate from the Dean of respective medical college and a certificate of Maharashtra State by virtue of residence.
Aspirants must have MBBS/BDS pass certificate from an institution recognised by Medical Council of India (MCI) or Dental Council of India (DCI).
Candidates too should have a compulsory rotatory internship certificate on or before March 31, 2020.
A registration certificate issued by MCI or State Medical Council (SMC) is also mandatory.

Cut off percentile
The Maharashtra PG 2020 application form will be released in the first week of March in the online mode. Only applicants who will fill and submit the application form will be eligible for 50% state quota seats. After the successful submission of Maharashtra PG medical application form 2020, the registered aspirants must report at the nodal centres for document verification. Only after the verification procedure, candidates will be considered eligible to be included in the merit list. At the time of document verification, candidates are required to carry all the documents mentioned below:

The Maharashtra PG medical 2020 merit list will be released by the authority in the last week of March in the online mode. A link will be made available on the page. Maharashtra PG medical merit list 2020 will be made on the grounds of NEET PG 2020 scores obtained by the aspirants and also based on the rank included in Maharashtra PG medical merit list 2020. The merit list will include the name of aspirants, All India rank, state merit rank, NEET PG scores and testing IDs. Candidates who will be included in the Maharashtra PG medical merit list 2020 will be called for counselling process.
The authority, on February 10, 2020 had released the Maharashtra PG medical counselling 2020 dates on the official website. The declaration of the selection of the candidates from the first round will be announced on April 5, 2020. The last date to join the first round is upto April 12, 2020. In the counselling session, candidates are required to fill courses and college in order of their preference. The second round will be conducted by the authority on April 26, 2020 and the last round which is the mop round will be conducted on May 8, 2020. The last date to join the respective colleges for the mop up round will be May 12, 2020. The authority will commerce the academic session on May 2, 2020
Based on the rank, preferences and availability of seats, the admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses will be granted. Aspirants who will be allotted seats will be required to report at the respective colleges for document verification and completion of admission.
