Meghalaya MBBS Admission 2020 - North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong is the authority responsible for conducting Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission. NEIGRIHMS will release the application form for admission to Meghalaya MBBS in the third week of June 2020. Candidates seeking admission to the medical and dental colleges of the state must qualify NEET with the minimum qualifying percentile. All such candidates who fulfil the eligibility conditions along with other factors for Meghalaya NEET admission 2020 will be invited to participate in the counselling process.   • The medical aspirant must be resident (Permanent/Domicile) of one of the 8 North-Eastern states of India including Sikkim for Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission

  • In the preceding two years the candidates must have studied and completed their course from the schools located in India for admission to Meghalaya MBBS

Meghalaya NEET application form 2020

NEIGRIHMS will release the application form for Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission in the third week of June, in online mode. Aspiring candidates must register themselves successfully for admission to Meghalaya MBBS. In the application form of Meghalaya MBBS, candidates will be required to enter details like their personal, communication, academic details. The application processing fee for Meghalaya MBBS admission 2020 is ₹500/-, this amount is non-refundable. Candidates are also advised to go through the information brochure thoroughly before filling the application form.

Meghalaya MBBS 2020 merit list

The authorities will release the merit list for admission to Meghalaya MBBS in the third week of July 2020. Those candidates who register themselves successfully, fulfil eligibility conditions will be included in Meghalaya MBBS merit list 2020. The authorities will publish the merit list for Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission in online mode, and the same will also be displayed in the NEIGRIHMS campus. The merit list of Meghalaya MBBS will contain details like candidate’s name, NEET roll number and rank and state merit rank, among other details.

Meghalaya MBBS counselling 2020

NEIGRIHMS is the authority responsible for conducting counselling for admission to the medical and dental colleges of the state. The first round of Meghalaya MBBS 2020 counselling will be conducted in the fourth week of July, in offline mode. Eligible candidates will have to report in-person at the NEIGRIHMS campus for counselling of Meghalaya MBBS. Medical aspirants will also be required to furnish original documents and their self-attested copies along with their passport size photographs to the counselling centre for Meghalaya MBBS admission 2020. The authorities will release a list of candidates selected for counselling and those in the waitlist, prior to the conduction of first round of Meghalaya MBBS 2020 counselling. In the situation where seats remain vacant for admission to Meghalaya MBBS, the authorities will conduct another round of counselling for waitlist students.

Those candidates who are desirous of Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission and have secured a seat for themselves by following the procedure mentioned above will have to execute a bond on a stamp paper when taking admission. Truth be told, NEET is one of the highest competitive entrance exams after 12th. And for every 1 Medical seat, statistics state that approximately 20-25 students apply. So you are in a race with another 24 Candidates whose dream only has been too become a Doctor, just like yours. Now with the kind of competition involved, stress, anxiety are bound to happen and this might result in Lower self confidence. Infact that is the normal cycle of a student. If your confidence doesn't get a little low you might never realise the intensity of the exam. Until you take a dip, you would never know the depth of the sea. At times, it is good to feel low because that is when you know how to pull up the strings and evolve much stronger. Now brain is an organ and it also needs rest. With the amount of pressure, that it goes through, it is bound to feel tired and that is the reason why we suffer from Brain fade at times. Try a SWOT analysis on yourself. Like write down your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to your motivation. If your strength is your memory power, use it to your advantage. Keep switching between subjects every hour or 2 so that the brain is kept fresh and doesnt get monotonous. For example, if you are studying from 10am to 5pm, study Physics for one hour, then shift to Chemistry and then to Biology. Do that every hour. And on Sunday mornings, take a mock test and in the evenings, take rest. That way your brain is refreshed. If your weakness that you cannot wake up early, compensate by studying until a little late in the night. Always tweak your lifestyle according to your strengths and what works in your favour. And always remember that Rome was not built in a day and a career is a diligent process.

In order to apply for NEET, candidates need to fulfill the following criteria-

Attained 17 years age by 31st December of that year.

Passed  or appearing 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects, those having Biology as an additional are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET is based on PCB aggregate only against each category mentioned below-

  • UR - 50%,
  • OBC/SC/ST - 40%,
  • PWD - 45%

There's no upper age limit in NEET, so no restriction also in terms of appearing for this examination.

So, to answer your question, you'll be eligible to apply for NEET 2021 as you will be 17 years old by January of 2021 provided you meet other requirements as well mentioned above.
