Meghalaya MBBS Admission 2020 - North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong is the authority responsible for conducting Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission. NEIGRIHMS will release the application form for admission to Meghalaya MBBS in the third week of June 2020. Candidates seeking admission to the medical and dental colleges of the state must qualify NEET with the minimum qualifying percentile. All such candidates who fulfil the eligibility conditions along with other factors for Meghalaya NEET admission 2020 will be invited to participate in the counselling process.   • The medical aspirant must be resident (Permanent/Domicile) of one of the 8 North-Eastern states of India including Sikkim for Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission

  • In the preceding two years the candidates must have studied and completed their course from the schools located in India for admission to Meghalaya MBBS

Meghalaya NEET application form 2020

NEIGRIHMS will release the application form for Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission in the third week of June, in online mode. Aspiring candidates must register themselves successfully for admission to Meghalaya MBBS. In the application form of Meghalaya MBBS, candidates will be required to enter details like their personal, communication, academic details. The application processing fee for Meghalaya MBBS admission 2020 is ₹500/-, this amount is non-refundable. Candidates are also advised to go through the information brochure thoroughly before filling the application form.

Meghalaya MBBS 2020 merit list

The authorities will release the merit list for admission to Meghalaya MBBS in the third week of July 2020. Those candidates who register themselves successfully, fulfil eligibility conditions will be included in Meghalaya MBBS merit list 2020. The authorities will publish the merit list for Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission in online mode, and the same will also be displayed in the NEIGRIHMS campus. The merit list of Meghalaya MBBS will contain details like candidate’s name, NEET roll number and rank and state merit rank, among other details.

Meghalaya MBBS counselling 2020

NEIGRIHMS is the authority responsible for conducting counselling for admission to the medical and dental colleges of the state. The first round of Meghalaya MBBS 2020 counselling will be conducted in the fourth week of July, in offline mode. Eligible candidates will have to report in-person at the NEIGRIHMS campus for counselling of Meghalaya MBBS. Medical aspirants will also be required to furnish original documents and their self-attested copies along with their passport size photographs to the counselling centre for Meghalaya MBBS admission 2020. The authorities will release a list of candidates selected for counselling and those in the waitlist, prior to the conduction of first round of Meghalaya MBBS 2020 counselling. In the situation where seats remain vacant for admission to Meghalaya MBBS, the authorities will conduct another round of counselling for waitlist students.

Those candidates who are desirous of Meghalaya MBBS 2020 admission and have secured a seat for themselves by following the procedure mentioned above will have to execute a bond on a stamp paper when taking admission. The question asked in NEET are not too tough, but one need to have enough practice to solve it. So  you can refer these books-

Chemistry- NCERT is enough

Physics- ncert as well as Hc verma

Biology- trumen or any other coaching material along with NCERT.

Hi Lakhyajyoti,

The NEET eligibility criteria states that the candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/BioTechnology and English as core subjects.The qulaifying marks for PCB is 50%-UR, 40%-OBC/SC/ST, 45%-PWD. So yes you are eligible to appear for NEET.

Know the Neet syllabus & what’s important


Study all the chapters taught in class 11 and 12 thoroughly. 70 to 80 percent of the overall questions are either directly taken from NCERT or are an advanced form of its learnings. Before you take on the study effort, go through the previous years' papers, so much so that, you can identify the important topics and concepts. Study those thoroughly, and prioritize these topics before you move to the less important ones.


Make a study strategy


Ensure you make a good timetable that includes solving test papers, regular revisions, and small breaks to help you recuperate and start afresh. Strictly abide by it and allocate more time to difficult subjects. Make it a habit to cover difficult topics along with interesting ones so that preparation does not become monotonous. Keep a track of time as you do not want one chapter to consume time and affect your overall study plan.


Solve test papers


As soon as you complete your syllabus, start solving as many test papers as you can. As the final date approaches, solve 3-4 test papers/mocks tests a day. Try to complete the test papers within the designated time. Demarcate the questions where you made a mistake and identify its cause. Revise all the incorrectly attempted questions well. In this manner, you will be able to understand your weaknesses better and prepare strategically, which is very important for a competitive exam like NEET.


Revise well


Along with your mock test papers take some time out to revise lessons. This should begin after you have completed studying all the lessons. If you are facing difficulty in grasping a certain topic, formula, diagram, etc, prepare a learning aid (like flashcards) and fix it in front of your study table. Do not be overconfident about your preparation and pay attention to the technique applied to crack the question while you’re revising.


Develop your own study technique


Every student will have a different strategy to crack the exam. While preparing for a competitive exam like NEET, follow a study technique that helps you recall your lessons well and allows you to solve the paper in the stipulated time. Follow the one that suits you best and adhere to the pattern till the day of examination. Do not panic and alter your strategy a few days before the exam - this is likely to hamper your preparation and affect your confidence before the examination.

1 months strategy for preparing neet

Hello Sabnam,

1 month is not enough for the strategic preparation for NEET. It will roughly take 4 -5 months to prepare strategically.

Here are some tips which will help you -

Read NCERT Books thoroughly

Always give priority to NCERT books, then prerefer any reference book

Solve sample papers and previous year question papers Daily

Take mock test

Revise the topics weekly

And stay motivated
