Scoring pattern: The two-and-half hour test will include 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs) with every question carrying one mark each. There will be no negative marking for wrong attempts. Immediately after completing the exam, candidates can check their scores which will be displayed on the screen. Candidates need to take home a printout of the score card in the presence of the invigilator.

In the event of a tie between two and more candidates, the following procedures will be followed to break the deadlock:

  • The Net Average Score (NAS) obtained by candidates in the qualifying exam will be calculated by considering the gross average marks of all the Board/University examinations and subtracting from it a factor which is to be determined on the basis of the number of failures.

  • Candidates with higher NAS scores will be ranked higher in the merit list

  • In the eventuality of candidates scoring equivalent NAS scores, the candidate who has lower number of failures against his name will be ranked higher

  • To count the number of failures, every failure in a subject in a (semester/year) Board/University examination will be counted as one failure.  Also, whatever may be the reason, non-appearance in a particular subject in an examination will also be counted as a failure.

Dnb patho. Or anesthesia in Maharashtra for rank 80350 in neet pg????

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 22nd Feb, 2020

This is too big a rank for a seat in NEET PG if you beong to General Category. With SC/ST reservation, you might have very lean chances. Having said that, this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, difficulty of the exam, and no.of seats available for each specialisation. Please try our College predictor to check the possibility of other specialisations with you rank across India:  https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-pg-all-india-college-predictor

what is the rank required in neet pg exam to get mds seat in GDC Bangalore

Srijika Bhattacharyya 22nd Feb, 2020
Hello,
The cutoff rank in 2019 was 349 and 2018 was 261 under 50% all India quota. As you have not mentioned if you are from Karnataka or not I have only mentioned the all India cutoff for general category
Also, these cutoffs change every year and it is not necessary they will be same. However, GDC Bangalore is a very good college and you must get a very high rank to get an MDS Seat.
