NEET 2020 Cutoff DU - Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the NEET DU cutoff 2020 in the last week of August. The cutoff of DU NEET 2020 is considered as the last rank on the basis of which an aspirant has given admission to medical and dental colleges for the particular academic session. DU MBBS cutoff 2020 will be published for 15% All India Quota and 85% State Quota seats, separately. The state counselling authority, MCC, DU will release the NEET 2020 cutoff DU for state quota seats, while Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the cutoff for All India Quota seats. Candidates who will qualify the NEET UG entrance exam will be eligible for admission to 490 MBBS and 34 BDS seats offered in government and private colleges of DU.

Only those candidates who will qualify NEET 2020 will be included in the state merit list released by MCC. The DU MBBS 2020 merit list will be released in the third week of June with the name of the candidates along with their state merit rank, NEET rank, scores and other details. On the grounds of DU MBBS state merit rank, aspirants will be called for the counselling process. The DU MBBS 2020 counselling process will be conducted in two rounds.

NEET 2020 cutoff DU details

NEET cut off 2020 data will be provided on this page to give aspirants an idea about the corresponding scores required to medical and dental colleges. Interested NEET applicants can go through the data to know the scores needed for DU MBBS admission 2020. The list of colleges with DU NEET cut off 2020 will assist candidates to prepare a list of colleges in which they can get admission on the grounds of their 2020 NEET scores.

Factors to determine NEET cutoff DU 2020

It must be noted that the cutoff data provided is for reference purpose as the NEET cutoff 2020 DU changes depending on the factors as mentioned below.

  • Total number of NEET aspirants appearing for the exam

  • The difficulty level of the question paper

  • Number of seats available in the MBBS and BDS colleges of the state

  • Marks scored in the NEET result

NEET Cutoff DU 2020 for 15% All India Quota seats

The NEET Cutoff DU 2020 will be published by MCC for the candidates selected under 15% All India Quota seats. The category-wise cutoff will be released in the online mode only. The last rank and corresponding marks of a candidate who will be given admission in medical or dental college will be considered as the All India Quota NEET 2020 cutoff DU. The cutoff list will be published on the grounds of last candidate's rank who will get admission after the second round of counselling.


NEET 2020 Cutoff DU for 85% State Quota seats

The authority responsible to release the NEET DU 2020 cutoff is MCC, DU. The cutoff will be released in the online mode and will be released for each category including General (unreserved), SC/ST/OBC (reserved) and PwD candidates. The last rank of a candidate who will be granted admission in the respective college will be considered in the NEET cutoff 2020 DU as per their respective category.


DU NEET MBBS Cutoff – All India Quota and State Quota seats

The previous years’ rank and their corresponding marks of DU NEET 2020 cutoff for 15% All India Quota and 85% State Quota seats is provided in the table below. The data provided in the table below has been provided by the counselling authorities on the basis of NEET UG marks. Interested NEET aspirants can check the data to get an idea of scores to be obtained for DU MBBS/BDS admission 2020. This data only provides the last rank and equivalent marks secured.

Chemistry- NCERT is enough

Physics- ncert as well as Hc verma

Biology- trumen or any other coaching material along with NCERT.

Hi Lakhyajyoti,

The NEET eligibility criteria states that the candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/BioTechnology and English as core subjects.The qulaifying marks for PCB is 50%-UR, 40%-OBC/SC/ST, 45%-PWD. So yes you are eligible to appear for NEET.

Know the Neet syllabus & what’s important


Study all the chapters taught in class 11 and 12 thoroughly. 70 to 80 percent of the overall questions are either directly taken from NCERT or are an advanced form of its learnings. Before you take on the study effort, go through the previous years' papers, so much so that, you can identify the important topics and concepts. Study those thoroughly, and prioritize these topics before you move to the less important ones.


Make a study strategy


Ensure you make a good timetable that includes solving test papers, regular revisions, and small breaks to help you recuperate and start afresh. Strictly abide by it and allocate more time to difficult subjects. Make it a habit to cover difficult topics along with interesting ones so that preparation does not become monotonous. Keep a track of time as you do not want one chapter to consume time and affect your overall study plan.


Solve test papers


As soon as you complete your syllabus, start solving as many test papers as you can. As the final date approaches, solve 3-4 test papers/mocks tests a day. Try to complete the test papers within the designated time. Demarcate the questions where you made a mistake and identify its cause. Revise all the incorrectly attempted questions well. In this manner, you will be able to understand your weaknesses better and prepare strategically, which is very important for a competitive exam like NEET.


Revise well


Along with your mock test papers take some time out to revise lessons. This should begin after you have completed studying all the lessons. If you are facing difficulty in grasping a certain topic, formula, diagram, etc, prepare a learning aid (like flashcards) and fix it in front of your study table. Do not be overconfident about your preparation and pay attention to the technique applied to crack the question while you’re revising.


Develop your own study technique


Every student will have a different strategy to crack the exam. While preparing for a competitive exam like NEET, follow a study technique that helps you recall your lessons well and allows you to solve the paper in the stipulated time. Follow the one that suits you best and adhere to the pattern till the day of examination. Do not panic and alter your strategy a few days before the exam - this is likely to hamper your preparation and affect your confidence before the examination.
