The below listed criteria must be fulfilled by the candidates for 50% AIQ seats:

1. As per the NEET PG 2023 eligibility criteria, medical graduates belonging from the state of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for AIQ 50% seats.

2. Only those candidates from J&K who have been nominated by the Government of India, under central pool seats, for pursuing MBBS from medical colleges in Jammu & Kashmir will be eligible for AIQ 50% seats. These candidates have to submit a duly signed affidavit which declares that they have been nominated by the Government of India under the above-mentioned category.

NEET PG eligibility criteria 2023: Foreign medical graduates

The authority mentions NEET PG 2023 eligibility criteria for those Indian citizens or Overseas citizens who have pursued their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical colleges that are outside Indian territory. Eligibility criteria for such candidates is mentioned below.

• Since the year 2019, it is no more mandatory for Foreign Nationals to be registered with MCI while writing NEET PG 2023

Candidates must note that as per the eligibility criteria of NEET PG, the validity of this registration will be provided only for the Postgraduate course duration. Also, this registration will be limited to the medical college/institution in which the candidate has taken admission exclusively for the pursuance of postgraduate studies

• Foreign Nationals have to be mandatorily registered with the competent registering authority of their country in order to get temporary registration

To avoid cancellation of candidature, medical graduates are required to know some other criteria also apart from eligibility which are as follows:

• Those medical graduates who are found to be ineligible at any stage of the entrance exam will get their candidature cancelled then and there. If the candidate’s ineligibility comes to the notice of the authorities after the selection of candidates the result of such candidate shall be cancelled

• The one year internship must be completed in the stipulated time as request for extension in time period will not be entertained by the authorities under any circumstances
