The NEET PG result 2023 has been declared in the form of a merit list mentioning the roll number, marks scored (out of 800), and the rank secured by the candidate. Based on the NEET PG 2023 scores, admission will be granted to 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS), 922 PG Diploma and 1,338 DNB CET seats.

To qualify the NEET PG 2023 exam, candidates will have to secure the minimum qualifying cutoff as set by the authority. The NEET PG cut-off 2023 for general category candidates is 50th percentile, while for reserved category candidates the cutoff is 40th percentile. As per the latest NEET PG 2023 cutoff, the qualifying score is 291 for General, 257 for SC/ST/OBC, and 274 for General-PH.

NEET PG 2023 Cutoff
Along with the result of NEET PG, the authority has released the scores equivalent to NEET PG 2023 cutoff percentile. To qualify the NEET PG 2023 exam, candidates need to score the minimum cutoff percentile set by NBE. Only candidates who have qualified for the cutoff in the NEET PG result will be considered for further admission process.

NEET PG 2023 Result: Important Details
The result of NEET PG 2023 will be valid for one academic year only. Qualified candidates will be able to download the NEET PG score card 2023. Types Of NEET PG 2023 Results
As mentioned above, the NEET PG 2023 result will be used for admission to 50% All India Quota seats and state quota seats. The admission process for AIQ seats will be conducted by MCC and for state quota seats by the respective state authorities. The two types of NEET PG results are discussed below:
NEET PG 2023 result for 50% All India Quota seats
The NEET PG result 2023 for AIQ seats will be announced by the NBE in PDF format. The result will be announced for the candidates fulfilling the NEET PG 2023 eligibility criteria.
NEET PG counselling 2023 for 50% AIQ seats and 100% deemed, central, ESIC, and AFMS seats will be conducted by the DGHS on behalf of MCC. Admission to the postgraduate medical seats will be granted based on the NEET PG result, AIQ rank, marks scored, choices filled, reservation criteria, and number of seats available. The NEET PG cutoff for 50% AIQ and 100% deemed and central universities, AFMS, and ESIC seats is the same as the minimum qualifying percentile specified by NBE.
NEET PG 2023 result for state quota seats
The result of NEET PG 2023 will be used by state authorities for admission to respective state quota seats. No state government will conduct any separate entrance test for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses. Based on the NEET PG result 2023, state merit rank, reservation criteria, choices filled, number of seats and other factors, the counselling for state PG medical admission will be conducted. For securing admission under state quota candidates should mandatorily qualify the NEET PG 2023 exam and fulfill the respective state eligibility criteria.
NEET PG Rank 2023
The authority releases ranks secured by the candidates along with the NEET PG result 2023. These ranks will be allotted on the basis of the NEET PG marks and reservation criteria. The different ranks on the basis of NEET PG result are discussed below:
NEET PG 2023 Rank: The merit position secured by a candidate in the NBE NEET PG result amongst all the candidates who appeared in the entrance test is the NEET PG rank 2023. It is allotted entirely based on the marks obtained by a candidate in the NEET PG examination. The overall rank of the candidate in the exam will be mentioned in the NEET PG merit list released by NBE.
All India 50% Quota Rank: Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria set by the MCC will be allotted NEET PG 2023 50% AIQ rank. Candidates securing NEET PG All India 50% quota rank will be allowed to participate in the counselling process. This rank will be mentioned in the AIQ NEET PG merit list released by the NBE.
All India 50% Quota Category Rank: The rank secured by a NEET PG qualified candidate amongst the candidates of the same category as opted by him/her is known as the All India 50% quota category rank.

NEET PG 2023 Result: Tie-breaker Criteria
In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the NEET PG 2023 securing the same rank, the tie will be resolved using the criteria set by the NBE. The NEET PG 2023 tie-breaking criteria is mentioned below.
Candidates with a higher number of correct responses will secure higher rank in the merit list.
If tie still remains, candidates with lesser incorrect responses will be placed higher in the merit list.
Next, older candidates will secure higher rank.
If tie is still not resolved, candidates securing higher aggregate marks in all MBBS Professional Examinations will be higher in the merit list.
Validity Of NEET PG 2023 Result
As per the Post Graduate Medical Education rules stated by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the NEET PG result will be valid only for one year. Therefore, if a candidate qualifies the entrance exam however, fails to secure a seat, his/her NEET PG result 2023 cannot be used for the next session. They will have to appear in the NEET PG examination again.
What after NEET PG result 2023?
Once the NEET PG 2023 result is declared, the authority will conduct the counselling process for the qualified candidates. The NEET PG counselling will be conducted separately for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and remaining 50% state quota seats. The 50% AIQ counseling will be conducted by MCC in an online mode.
The NEET PG 2023 counselling for state quota seats will be conducted by state authorities. Candidates will have to register online and fill in their preferences of courses and colleges. can I apply for same college in aiq and state counselling in neet pg

As per the state counselling 50% seats are reserved for state quota in all the colleges. To apply under state quota you need to have a domicile for that particular state. If you have the domicile certificate then you are eligible for the 50% reserved seats. However you can apply for same college under AIQ as well as under state quota but I would recommend you to apply under state quota for the colleges that are in your state and apply for other colleges under AIQ (all india quota). This would make more sense and might help you to get admission easily.
