NEET PG 2020 – National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the NEET PG exam dates 2020 on September 16, 2019. As per the official notification, the authority has mentioned that NEET PG 2020 will be conducted on January 5, in computer-based mode. Candidates can check the exam and other relevant dates of NEET PG 2020 on this page. For admission to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (DM) courses offered in government, private, deemed and central universities, it is mandatory for aspirants to appear and qualify NEET PG 2020. In order to appear for the entrance exam, candidates will be required to fill the NEET PG 2020 application form, which will be released in the first week of November 2019 along with the brochure. Candidates who will successfully submit the application form will be issued the NEET PG admit card 2020 in the last week of December 2019. It is mandatory to carry the admit card at the allotted exam centre along with the valid ID proof and SMC/MCI registration. NEET PG 2020 exam will contain a total of 300 objective type questions for which each candidate will be allotted three hours and thirty minutes. For the benefit of the NEET PG aspirants, the exam conducting authority will make available a demo test to familiarise each candidate with the computer-based test format. Applicants will be able to access the demo test in the second week of December 2019.

The entrance examination of NEET PG is held once a year in the month of January as a computer-based test for admission to 19,525 MD and 10,601 MS seats offered in various medical colleges in the country. Candidates qualifying in the exam of NEET PG 2020 by securing the required cutoff percentile will be eligible for further counselling processes. Counselling for to All India quota seats will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee and remaining state quota seats will be conducted by the respective state counselling authorities. NEET for postgraduate courses in the academic year 2020-2021 will include admission to the following:

1) All India 50% quota seats (except Jammu and Kashmir)

2) State quota seats (including seats in Jammu and Kashmir)

3) All private medical colleges, institutions & universities/Deemed Universities all across the country.

4) Armed forces Medical Services Institutions

5) DNB broad speciality courses

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2020

Aspirants must ensure that they meet the NEET PG 2020 eligibility criteria as set by the NBE before they apply. The eligibility criteria have been listed below.

  • Candidates are required to possess a recognized MBBS degree.

  • Candidates must possess a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.

  • Candidates must complete their compulsory one-year rotatory internship by March 31, 2020, according to the eligibility criteria of NEET PG 2020.

  • Candidates completing their MBBS from the Jammu and Kashmir will be eligible for admission to the 50% All India Quota seats only if they have been nominees of the Government of India for the Central Pool Quota seats.

  • Candidates are required to possess an Aadhar card according to NEET PG 2020 eligibility criteria.

NEET PG Application Form 2020

Candidates who wish to appear for NEET PG 2020 will be required to fill the application form of NEET PG 2020 which will be released in the first week of November 2019. The mode of release and submission of NEET PG application form 2020 will be online only. The last date to fill the NEET PG application form 2020 is most likely to fall in the last week of November 2019. To successfully submit the application will have to submit a registration fee which has been mentioned below.

NEET PG Application Form 2020 Correction Window

All applicants must ensure that the information provided by them in the online submission of NEET PG application form is correct. It is highly advisable that candidates go through the NEET PG information bulletin before filling the application form. For the convenience of candidates, the authority does provide a correction window facility through which certain fields can be corrected after the submission of the form. However, not all fields can be edited/ modified. Following is the list of fields which can and cannot be edited.

NEET PG Admit Card 2020

NBE will release the NEET PG admit card 2020 in the last week of December 2019. Candidates who will successfully complete the process of registration for NEET PG 2020 will be allowed to download the NEET PG 2020 admit card. The link to download the admit card of NEET PG 2020 will be provided on this page as and when it is released. The authority will be intimating the registered aspirants through an email and SMS on the registered Email address and mobile number. The admit card of NEET PG 2020 will include the candidates’ personal details, date, and timings of the exam and examination centre details. The printout of NEET PG 2020 hall ticket must be carried at the exam centre along with the photo ID proof.

The NBE prepares the syllabus of NEET PG 2020 will comprise entirely of the subjects studied in the MBBS and BDS curriculum. NEET PG answer key 2020

NEET PG is a propriety examination which is conducted by NBE. The contents of this exam are kept confidential. Candidates at the time of submitting at the NEET PG application form enter into a non-disclosure agreement with the exam conducting authority. Owing to this NDA the NEET PG answer key 2020 will not be released. Through this candidates are restricted from discussing the question paper of NEET PG 2020. Leading coaching centres may publish a memory-based answer key of NEET PG. If such an answer key is published it will be provided on this page.

NEET PG Result 2020

The result of NEET PG 2020 will be declared by NBE in the online mode in the last week of January. The result will be published on the official website in the PDF format containing the roll number, score obtained (out of 1200) and NEET PG rank of the candidates. After the release of NEET-PG result, the authority will also publish the scorecard for NEET PG 2020. The scorecard will be released for the candidates who will qualify for the 50% All India Quota seats. Candidates will have to download the scorecard from the official website as it will not be sent to the candidates individually. All the candidates who will qualify according to the NEET PG 2020 results will be eligible for the further processes of admission.

NEET PG Cutoff 2020

NBE has the sole authority to decide the NEET PG 2020 cutoff which will be declared along with the result. The NEET PG 2020 cutoff score depends on various factors like difficulty level of the exam, number of applicants and availability of seats among others. Only the candidates who will qualify according to NEET PG cutoff 2020 will be included in the merit list released by NBE. Candidates will have to secure marks corresponding to the NEET PG cutoff percentile in order to qualify. Previous year cutoff of NEET PG for various categories has been given below.

Revision of NEET PG 2020 Cutoff

Every year, in order to fill the vacant seats left, the union government in consultation with Medical Council of India lower the cutoff allowing more candidates to participate in the NEET PG counselling procedure. The authority publishes as revised NEET PG cutoff percentile along with corresponding marks. Last year, the cutoff of NEET PG was lowered to 44 for general category, 39 for persons with a disability, and 34 percentile for SC/ST/OBC category candidates. NEET PG Counselling 2020

NEET PG counselling is conducted at two levels which include all India counselling and counselling at the state level. The NEET PG counselling 2020 for 50% All India Quota seats will be conducted by Directorate General of Health Sciences on behalf of Medical Council of India. It will be held in two rounds – first and second. A mop-up round will also be conducted for central, Deemed universities and ESIC only. Candidates will be required to participate in the online NEET PG 2020 counselling and fill in their choices of institutions in the order of their preferences. The allotment of seats in various institutions will be based on the candidates’ merit rank and the opted preference. The result of each round of NEET PG counselling 2020 will be declared on the official website of MCC.

The counselling for the 50% of state quota seats will be conducted by the respective state counselling authority. Each state publishes its own merit list, counselling schedule, seat allotment list and applies domicile criteria. Candidates who wish to take admission in the 50% state quota seats, seats offered in private colleges and institutes will have to fill the application form released by the state counselling authority.

NEET PG Statistics 2019

After the conclusion of NEET PG, NBE releases the statistics of the exam mentioning the number of candidates who appeared and qualified the PG entrance test. As per NEET PG 2020 Eligibility Criteria,

candidate must have provisional or permanent medical registration certificate issued by MCI or a State Medical Council. that is to be carried on the day of the exam and during admission.

So, having a provisional certificate is also applicable.

In addition to the above criteria, candidates needs to have a valid MBBS degree from an institution recognized by MCI and have a degree or provisional certificate.Also, it's mandatory to have completed rotatory internship on or before 31st March, 2020.

If you are asking about neet pg, then photo requirements for neet pg application form is that"-
  • it should be a color one with white background only and at least 75% coverage of the face and head of the candidate, it should be passport-size, and not older than 6 months,
  • should be devoid of any border and the facial features and should be clearly visible,recently clicked,
  • Should be having the name of candidate ,date of capturing the photograph  imprinted at the bottom of the photo,
  • should be of 3.5*4.5 cm (width*height) in dimension and
  • the file size not more than 80 KB,printed on a high-quality paper with a resolution of at least 600 dp.

The NEET PG 2020 eligibility criteria for aspirants appearing in the postgraduate medical examination has been listed below.

Candidates must possess a valid MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), and have an MBBS degree or provisional certificate to that effect.
Completion of the rotatory internship on or before March 31, 2020.
Provisional or permanent medical registration certificate issued by MCI or a State Medical Council. This must be carried on the day of the exam and during admission.
Candidates who have studied/qualified MBBS from Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for All India 50% Quota seats. Only candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to study MBBS from Medical Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible for All India 50% quota seats. Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring this.

Dear Sreenivasan, NBE hasn't released NEET PG official notification and schedule yet. As of now, all we have is a tentative schedule. The official notification will be released tentatively during the 1st or 2nd weeks of November.
