NEET PG 2020 – National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the NEET PG 2020 scorecard for 50% All India Quota seats on the official website of Qualified candidates can download their individual scorecards by using their log in credentials. It is to be noted that aspirants who studied MBBS from Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for 50% All India Quota seats. Earlier, the authority had declared NEET PG result 2020 for All India Quota (AIQ) 50% seats in online mode on February 18. Candidates can check the same by clicking on the link below. The result of NEET PG 2020 was released in PDF format on January 30. The cutoff score had also been released. Candidates can check the same using the link provided below. Through an official notice, the authority had asked candidates from Jammu & Kashmir to provide their documents for eligibility under 50% AIQ seats. Qualified candidates will be allowed to participate in NEET PG counselling process for admissions.

The authority had successfully conducted NEET PG on January 5, 2020, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM, in computer based mode across 162 exam cities in the country. A day before the exam, the authority had released the basic NEET PG exam day guidelines 2020 for candidates mentioning what to carry, what not to carry, do's & don'ts and other details. In NEET PG 2020 exam, candidates had to answer 300 objective type questions within three hours and thirty minutes. NBE had issued the admit card of NEET PG 2020 on December 31, 2019. The application form of NEET PG 2020 was available till November 21, 2019.

NEET PG Result 2020

The result of NEET PG 2020 has been declared by NBE in the online mode on January 30, 2020. The result has been published on the official website in the PDF format containing the roll number, score obtained (out of 1200) and NEET PG rank of the candidates. After the release of NEET-PG result, the authority has also published the scorecard for NEET PG 2020 on February 5. The scorecard has been released for the candidates who qualify for the 50% All India Quota seats. Candidates can download the scorecard from the official website as it will not be sent to the candidates individually. All the candidates who have qualified according to the NEET PG 2020 results will be eligible for the further processes of admission.

NEET PG Cutoff 2020

NBE has the sole authority to decide the NEET PG 2020 cutoff which has been declared along with the result. The NEET PG 2020 cutoff score depends on various factors like difficulty level of the exam, number of applicants and availability of seats among others. Only the candidates who qualify according to NEET PG cutoff 2020 have been included in the merit list released by NBE. Candidates must have secured marks corresponding to the NEET PG cutoff percentile in order to qualify. Previous year cutoff of NEET PG for various categories has been given below.

Revision of NEET PG 2020 Cutoff

Every year, in order to fill the vacant seats left, the union government in consultation with Medical Council of India lower the cutoff allowing more candidates to participate in the NEET PG counselling procedure. The authority publishes as revised NEET PG cutoff percentile along with corresponding marks. Last year, the cutoff of NEET PG was lowered to 44 for general category, 39 for persons with a disability, and 34 percentile for SC/ST/OBC category candidates. NEET PG Counselling 2020

NEET PG counselling is conducted at two levels which include all India counselling and counselling at the state level. The NEET PG counselling 2020 for 50% All India Quota seats will be conducted by Directorate General of Health Sciences on behalf of Medical Council of India. It will be held in two rounds – first and second. A mop-up round will also be conducted for central, Deemed universities and ESIC only. Candidates will be required to participate in the online NEET PG 2020 counselling and fill in their choices of institutions in the order of their preferences. The allotment of seats in various institutions will be based on the candidates’ merit rank and the opted preference. The result of each round of NEET PG counselling 2020 will be declared on the official website of MCC.

The counselling for the 50% of state quota seats will be conducted by the respective state counselling authority. Each state publishes its own merit list, counselling schedule, seat allotment list and applies domicile criteria. Candidates who wish to take admission in the 50% state quota seats, seats offered in private colleges and institutes will have to fill the application form released by the state counselling authority.

NEET PG Statistics 2019

After the conclusion of NEET PG, NBE releases the statistics of the exam mentioning the number of candidates who appeared and qualified the PG entrance test. NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2020

Aspirants must ensure that they meet the NEET PG 2020 eligibility criteria as set by the NBE before they apply. The eligibility criteria have been listed below.

  • Candidates are required to possess a recognized MBBS degree.

  • Candidates must possess a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.

  • Candidates must complete their compulsory one-year rotatory internship by March 31, 2020, according to the eligibility criteria of NEET PG 2020.

  • Candidates completing their MBBS from the Jammu and Kashmir will be eligible for admission to the 50% All India Quota seats only if they have been nominees of the Government of India for the Central Pool Quota seats.

  • Candidates are required to possess an Aadhar card according to NEET PG 2020 eligibility criteria.

Scope of NEET PG 2020

NEET for postgraduate courses in the academic year 2020-2021 will include admission to the following:

1) All India 50% quota seats (except Jammu and Kashmir)

2) State quota seats (including seats in Jammu and Kashmir)

3) All private medical colleges, institutions & universities/Deemed Universities all across the country.

4) Armed forces Medical Services Institutions

5) DNB broad speciality courses

Even if the majority of MD/MS seats are filled through NEET PG 2020. There are few institutions which do not fall under the purview of NEET PG2020.

NEET PG Admit Card 2020

NBE has released the NEET PG admit card 2020 from December 31, 2019, onwards. Candidates who will successfully complete the process of registration for NEET PG 2020 will be allowed to download the NEET PG 2020 admit card. The authority informs the registered aspirants through an email and SMS on the registered Email address and mobile number. The admit card of NEET PG 2020 includes the candidates’ personal details, date, and timings of the exam and examination centre details. The printout of NEET PG 2020 hall ticket must be carried at the exam centre along with the photo ID proof.

NEET PG Demo Test 2020

Candidates who have applied for NEET PG 2020 can use the demo test that will has been released by NBE on December 21, 2019. The demo test of NEET PG 2020 will be similar in all respects to the actual computer-based test. Candidates need not login as the test is a demo but are urged to take a look at it. NEET PG answer key 2020

NEET PG is a propriety examination which is conducted by NBE. The contents of this exam are kept confidential. Candidates at the time of submitting at the NEET PG application form enter into a non-disclosure agreement with the exam conducting authority. Owing to this NDA the NEET PG answer key 2020 will not be released. Through this, candidates are restricted from discussing the question paper of NEET PG 2020. NEET PG Application Form 2020 Correction Window

The authority will opened the correction window facility of NEET PG 2020 application form on December 3 to 7. All applicants must ensure that the information provided by them in the online submission of NEET PG application form is correct. In case there are mistakes committed at the time of filling the application form, candidates will be able to edit fields after the submission of the form. However, not all fields can be edited/ modified. Following is the list of fields which can and cannot be edited.

Candidates appearing for the entrance test will be required to choose NEET PG 2020 exam centre at the time of filling the application form. The list of NEET PG exam centre has been revealed with the release of the NEET PG 2020 information brochure on November 1, 2019. This year, a total of 162 exam centres of NEET PG 2020 which can be opted. Candidates will have to choose the NEET PG 2020 exam centre in the order of their preference while filling the application form. Candidates must note that that the exam centres will be provided only on the first-come-first-serve basis. Candidates will be provided with a list of NEET PG exam centres 2020 along with the total number of seats that are available in the particular test centres of a city. Mop-up round of counselling is conducted for filling the seats that are left vacant after three rounds of counselling to fill MBBS seats in the medical colleges of the country.

Question: Are there any specific rules for Indian or OCI students who did their graduation outside the country but have no registration as of yet?


Students as mentioned above who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualification outside India should bring their original screening test pass certificate issued on NBE letterhead if they do not have SMC/MCI registration.
