As per the NEET preparation tips 2019, students should carefully read the instructions given by the conducting body and keep in mind the reporting time. Due to the excitement and stress students tend to forget to eat before the exam. I advise you to not attempt the exam empty stomach. Taking proper fluid is very important during hot weather.

Carefully read the instructions on the question paper. Solve the easy questions first with patience and stay calm. This will build your confidence and will enable you to tackle difficult questions in the second phase easily. To crack NEET 2019 do not waste your time on the questions you are not sure about. Leave the difficult questions instead of unnecessary wasting your time. This will help you perfect your time management and help you attempt all the questions you know. Last but not least fill the OMR sheet carefully.

Careers360: What should be the exam-taking strategy on the exam day? How should candidates manage their exam time between the different sections of the paper?

Brajesh Maheshwari: Don’t waste your time in solving the calculation based questions again and again. Solve the complete question in one attempt. Time Management is very important to crack NEET 2019. Students should make sure that they keep the time limitation in their mind. They should dedicate time for all the sections in advance.

Careers360: Any strategies that students should keep in mind to deal with the negative marking system?

Brajesh Maheshwari: Negative marking is the most dangerous aspect of the exam. So have self-control, especially in the last half an hour of the exam. If you are not sure about any answer, then it is better to leave that question. Follow the best NEET 2019 preparation tips and avoid guesswork. It is advised to leave the question unmarked if you are not sure.

Do not waste your time in attempting the maximum number of questions, giving correct answers matters the most. Avoid making silly mistakes. Read the question carefully. Students can use the hit and trial method in some of the optional questions.

Careers360:  Any subject wise NEET 2019 Preparation Tips? What are the must-know topics in Physics, Chemistry and Biology that should be covered by students?

Brajesh Maheshwari: For physics students should focus on practising more and more numerical. As per the NEET preparation tips, revision of formulas and derivations is very important to solve problems. They should practice previous year papers on a daily basis.

For Chemistry practicing previous year’s NEET question papers will help a student to get an idea about the question pattern. For physical chemistry, they should practice more and more numerical. While for organic and inorganic chemistry rapid and frequent revision will play an important role to score well.

For biology, a student should focus on NCERT and solve NCERT based questions which will give them an extra edge.

Careers360: Are NCERT books enough for NEET preparation? Please recommend other good books to understand the concepts and tackle objective type questions?

Brajesh Maheshwari: NCERT books are the best for preparation of NEET exams. Studying from too many books will lead to confusion. NCERT will help them to strengthen their basics. NCERT books along with Modules of ALLEN Career Institute will sufficiently cover the NEET Syllabus.

Careers360: How to crack for NEET 2019 with test series, mock tests and previous year question papers? When should an aspirant start taking them?

Brajesh Maheshwari: The year-long preparation will not be useful until and unless you revise and practice on a daily basis. Test series, mock tests and previous year question papers will help the student to understand exam pattern and increase the speed. After the completion of yearlong classes at ALLEN, students need to appear for the major tests, at this time students need to practice the questions and have a strategy for revising. They should set daily goals for revision, test series, mock tests and previous year question papers.

Students should also focus on the questions solved during the classes and keep in mind the star marked questions in modules and NCERT by the teachers. Star marked questions of the minor tests are also very important. Students should practice previous 10-15 years question papers, if they face difficulty in solving them then they should go through the theory part ones again. After solving the question papers they should appear for a major test of ALLEN.

Careers360: What should be the last day preparation strategy for the exam?

Brajesh Maheshwari: On the last day, it is best to be relaxed and cool. Have faith in your year-long NEET 2019 preparation. While on the last minute pray to almighty and start your exam. During the examination first attempt those sections in which you are most comfortable. Don’t stress over things that you are unable to understand or solve.

Careers360: What should the students do to tackle the pre-exam stress?

Brajesh Maheshwari: In order to tackle pre-exam stress, students should take good care of their health and take proper sleep. They should take healthy diet. During these days revision becomes extremely important. Go through the subject-wise key points that you’ve prepared during the year. Carefully revise what you’ve learnt during the year. It is recommended to not touch any new topics at this time. Just try strengthening your stronger subject topics.

Students should have confidence in their preparation; they should stay happy and positive. Students should communicate regularly with the teachers and parents and also spare at least 30 minutes to rejuvenate themselves.

Mayank Chowdhary 11th Nov, 2019

First of all, there are no AIIMS and JIPMER exams from this year. Everything is centralized by NEET exam only. For neet, you can go with Irodov or DC Pandey force physics, Arihant, Neet champion or GRB for chemistry and Pradeep for biology. Reading ncert for all the 3 subjects is must admit well.

Best wishes. Thank you.

In 2019, 537 marks under General Category secured a seat in B.V.Sc in General Category. Now cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.
