NEET Result 2021 - The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the result of NEET 2021 in the online mode at ntaresults.nic.in. The NTA NEET result direct link will be provided on this page when released. To download the result pdf of NEET UG 2021, candidates will be required to enter their roll number and date of birth. NEET result 2021 pdf will have personal details, subject-wise NEET percentile, total marks, All India Rank (AIR), category rank, 15% All India Quota (AIQ) rank, and other details of the candidates. NTA will also release the qualifying NEET cutoff 2021 scores for General/SC/ST/OBC candidates in the NEET 2021 result pdf. Along with the result, NTA will also release the final NEET answer key 2021. Candidates who will qualify for the UG medical entrance exam will be eligible to participate in the NEET 2021 counselling session. In the previous session, as many as 7,71,500 candidates have qualified NEET, while 13,66,945 appeared.

Through NEET scores, admission to 80,005 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH and 525 BVSc & AH seats as well as 1205 AIIMS MBBS and 200 JIPMER MBBS seats in 15 AIIMS and 2 JIPMER institutes will be granted. *In the previous session, NEET BDS cut off was revised due to filling up 7,000 vacant BDS seats in the nation. The cutoff of NEET general category was 40th percentile, while for SC/ST/OBC, it was 30th percentile and for General-PH, it was 45th percentile.
How to download NEET result 2021?
Aspirants can check the step-wise procedure to download the NEET UG 2021 result and download their respective scorecards.
Step 1: Log on to the NTA NEET result official website ntaneet.nic.in
Step 2: Click on the “View NEET UG 2021 -Result” tab given on the screen.
Step 3: On the NEET candidate login page, enter the roll number, Date of Birth, and the security pin provided on the page. Check the image below.
Step 4: NEET rank card 2021 will be displayed on the screen.

NEET 2021 Result - How marks are calculated?
NEET total marks are 720. NEET result 2021 is determined on the basis of the NEET final answer key. NEET result calculation is done using the marking scheme, which mentions:

NEET Result 2021 - How NEET percentile score is calculated?
NEET percentile means how many candidates have scored more or less than a particular aspirant. NEET percentile calculates in comparison to the top NEET raw score. Thus, NEET percentile scores mention the candidate's position below the NEET topper and above others.
NTA defines NEET 2021 percentile rank as, “ the percentage of scores that falls below a given score in a group." A specific formula is applied on the basis of which the NEET percentile score of a candidate is calculated.

NEET Answer Key 2021
The competent authority will release the final answer key of NEET 2021 at nta.ac.in along with the result. The official answer key of NEET 2021 will be released a few days after the conclusion of the exam. With the help of the NEET answer key released by NTA, candidates will be able to determine the probable score that they might have achieved in NEET 2021. The answer key of NEET 2021 is the most reliable source through which a candidate can evaluate their performance in the entrance test. Interested candidates can challenge the questions by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 1000/- per question.
NEET Merit List 2021
Apart from conducting the entrance test, NTA is also responsible for preparing the NEET 2021 merit list for candidates who have opted for the 15% All India Quota. The merit list for counselling will be prepared on the basis of the NEET result. The list of candidates who will qualify the exam will be forwarded to the Directorate General of Health Services for the allotment of seats available under 15% AIQ. The merit list of NEET 2021 will be arranged category wise on the basis of the category given at the time of applying for counselling. It will bear details like the merit rank, marks, roll number, and percentile.
NTA will provide the merit lists with central and state counselling authorities, which will be used for admission purposes. The respective counselling authorities will then publish subsequent merit lists mentioning NEET state rank 2021 as per their guidelines. The respective state counselling authorities will prepare the merit lists for candidates who are native to the state.
NEET result 2021- Tie-Breaking Method
In cases where two or more candidates have obtained the same score, tie-breaking criteria are applied to get inter-se-merit of All India Rank in NEET result 2021. NEET aspirants can check the tie-breaking criteria used in the NEET merit list 2021 is listed below.
- Biology Marks: Aspirants who have scored higher in Biology will be preferred over others in NEET 2021 result.
- Chemistry Marks: If the above criteria do not work, then aspirants who have scored higher in Chemistry will be given preference.
- Less incorrect Marks: If the tie still persists, the candidate who has less number of incorrect answers in NEET 2021 will be given a higher order of merit compared to others.
- Age factor: If all the above criteria fail to resolve the tie, then the candidate who is older in age will be considered over others.
NEET 2021 result validity
The released result of NEET 2021 will only valid for three years after the declaration year. Candidates are advised to download and save the NEET 2021 result from the official website, ntaneet.nic.in. The NEET result is important to be preserved a minimum of up to 90 days from the date of declaration of results since it will be asked to serve during the counselling and medical admission. On the basis of counselling after the declaration of the NEET 2021 result medical admission will be granted.
Re-evaluation of NEET results
Aspirants seeking the possibilities of any re-evaluation of NEET result 2021 after the declaration can go through all the possibilities from below.
- Before the release of the NEET 2021 result, Authorities use to evaluate the machine–gradable answer sheets are with extreme care and are repeatedly scrutinized.
- Thus, there is no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the NEET results.
NTA will not provide any facilities for the re-evaluation of NEET result 2021 because of the following reasons:
- NEET 2021 OMRs are machine gradable which is being evaluated through specific software impartial to all.
- The candidates are given an opportunity to make the representation of the OMR gradation of their NEET OMR sheets PDF and also given an opportunity to challenge the answer key in case of any doubt.
NEET 2021 result for 15% All India Quota
On the basis of released NEET results and marks obtained in it. NTA will prepare a separate merit list for the aspirants who have opted for 15% All India quota seats. The list of successful candidates who have qualified for the NEET exam 2021 and shall be forwarded to the Directorate General of Health Services (Medical Examination Cell), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India for the purpose of allotment of NEET 2021 seats by Online Counselling to 15% All India Quota Seats.
NEET 2021 result for 85% State Quota
- NTA will issue All India Rank for all qualified aspirants and their NEET result will be shared with the DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India and Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India to provide the same to the state counselling authorities.
- The respective state counselling conducting authorities will invite applications for Counselling for NEET 2021.
- The counselling authorities will also release the state merit list of the candidates based on NEET result All India Rank (AIR) in the respective categories.
Courses offered through NEET result 2021
Once NEET 2021 result is declared, candidates will be required to participate in the admission process to the following courses.
MBBS and BDS - NEET 2021 is the only gateway for admission to MBBS and BDS government and private colleges, central universities, deemed institutes/universities across India along with AIIMS and JIPMER which have been brought under the ambit of NEET 2021.
AYUSH courses - NEET result is also the channel for admission to all AYUSH courses offered across India including Ayurveda (BAMS), Yoga and Naturopathy (BNYS), Unani (BUMS), Siddha (BSMS) and Homeopathy (BHMS).
B.V.Sc. and AH courses - Admissions to 15% All India Quota seats in Veterinary colleges offering B.VSc. and AH courses (excluding Jammu & Kashmir) is also on the basis of the NEET 2021 result.
To pursue medical and dental courses from foreign countries, it is mandatory to qualify for the exam. NEET result of such candidates will be valid for 3 years.
What after NEET result 2021?
NEET qualified candidates (except candidates from J&K) will be able to participate in the MCC conducted centralised counselling process for the All India Quota. Candidates can register for the centralized NEET Counselling.
Candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir state who will qualify the exam but have not opted to participate in All India Quota counselling will be able to register for the state counselling process of J&K.
Qualified candidates will also be able to register the state counselling process of the respective states if they fulfil the eligibility criteria laid down by the respective state authorities.

NEET Counselling 2021
Based on the scores obtained in NEET result 2021, NTA will conduct NEET 2021 counselling session. The counselling process is carried out at different levels for 15% AIQ seats and 85% state quota seats. The admission to MBBS and BDS seats across the country will be as per the following criteria.
15% All India Quota seats: 15% of all government seats available are reserved under All India Quota seats. These seats are filled by the counselling conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
85% State Quota seats: The remaining 85% seats in government and private medical, as well as private colleges, will be reserved under state quota seats. The admission to 85% state quota seats will be granted by respective state counselling authorities as per the eligibility and domicile rules prevailing in the state.
Central Institutes/Universities/Deemed Universities: All the seats offered by medical and dental central institutes/universities as well as deemed universities will be allotted on the basis of the NEET 2021 result. MCC will conduct the counselling for 100% seats in central institutes and deemed universities.
State/Management/NRI Quota seats: NEET UG result 2021 will be the basis for admission to State/Management/NRI quota seats offered by private medical or dental colleges or any private university.
Central Pool Quota seats: All qualified candidates who will be nominated under Central Pool quota seats will be granted admission on the basis of their NEET scorecard 2021 through the counselling for such candidates will be done by MCC.

see it is not possible to predict about next year neet eligibility changes. its true that in education system there would be lot of changing and moderation are coming. currently to become eligible to appear in neet, candidates must have studied and completed 10+2 course from a recognized education board with physics, chemistry, biology/ biotechnology and english as a mandatory subject. the marks criteria for aggregate pcb as per category wise is as follows:
general- 50%
sc/st/obc- 40%.

This is because,
The case of eligibility of private candidates for Neet examination is in Supreme Court but until the supreme court gives its judgement, private candidates are eligible for Neet examination, so as a private candidate you are eligible for Neet examination provided
you must pass 12th examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must get:-

at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category

at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st category

at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.
