NEET Seat Allotment 2019 - The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be releasing the NEET 2019 seat allotment tentatively in the fourth week of June 2019. The seat allotment of NEET 2019 will indicate the college allotted to the candidates as per their All India Rank (AIR) in NEET, NEET roll no., allotted quota, candidates’ category, allotted category and choice preferences of medical/dental colleges made during NEET 2019 counselling. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the result of NEET 2019 by June 5. The result of NEET seat allotment 2019 will be released in the form of an overall NEET seat allotment list and individual score card displaying the AIR, category and colleges allotted to all candidates in each counselling round. Candidates who will be allotted a seat during the seat allotment of NEET 2019 will be required to report to their allotted college. Note that only candidates who will qualify NEET UG will be eligible to participate in NEET counselling and further will be considered for NEET 2019 seat allotment process.

NEET Seat Allotment - Procedure

After the release of the result, candidates will have an option to accept or reject the allotted seat. The candidates who will be allotted a seat can check here the procedure to be followed-

  • Allotted seat is accepted - If the candidates accept the allotted seat, then they will be required to report to the allotted college within the assigned time. The candidates need to submit the list of original documents given below-

  • NEET Admit card 2019

  • NEET Scorecard 2019

  • Class 10 Certificate/Birth Certificate

  • Class 12 Pass Certificate

  • Class 12 Marksheet

  • Eight Passport size photograph as affixed on the NEET application form.

  • Seat Allotment Letter

  • Identity Proof (Driving License/PAN Card/Passport/Aadhar Card)

  • Caste Certificate (if required)

  • PwD Certificate (If required)

The admission process could take 2-3 days therefore, candidates who are willing to accept the seat must report to the institute right after the release of NEET 2019 seat allotment. Candidates will also undergo a medical test which will state that the admission seekers are fit to pursue the course. After taking admission, the college allotted to the candidate will give the details of the aspirant to DGHS. On the basis of these details, an admission letter will be issued to the candidate. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that the admission letter is received by him/her.

  • Allotted seat is not accepted - If the allotted seat is not accepted by a candidate in the first round and s/he does not want to participate in the next round then free exit will be provided meaning no deduction of refundable fees. However, after the second round of counselling non-acceptance of seat will lead to the deduction of refundable fees.

  • Allotted is not accepted and want to participate in the next round- If the candidates do not wish to accept the allotted seat but want to participate in the next round, then the candidate can do so after the first round of counselling. These candidates can participate in the second round by submitting fresh choices while the previous choices will be treated as null and void. After the second round of counselling, this option will not be available.

As the NEET 2019  seat allotment will be released in the form of scorecard and seat allotment list wherein the scorecard will be accessible for only those candidates who are allotted a seat and seat allotment list can be checked by all the candidates. The NEET 2019 seat allotment list will be made available here as and when it is released. Candidates can check here the seat allotment list of the previous year.

NEET Seat Reservation 2019

The NEET seat reservation for 15% All India Quota seats will be in accordance with the central reservation policy. However, the seats will follow their own reservation criteria for 85% State Quota seats. The seat reservation given here is applicable for 15% All India Quota MBBS/BDS seats only.

NEET UG is scheduled to be held on May 5, 2019, and the result will be declared by June 5, 2019. At the end of each NEET 2019 counselling round, the NEET 2019 seat allotment result will be released. In order to qualify NEET 2019, candidates need to score a minimum of 50th percentile (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC category). Only those who qualify the exam would be able to participate in the counselling process and be considered for the process of NEET seat allotment 2019. 

NEET 2019 is a national level entrance test conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS seats in medical and dental colleges around the country, except for AIIMS and JIPMER institutions, who are allowed to conduct their own MBBS entrances.
