Questions related to NEET

Showing 82516 out of 82519 Questions

The NEET abhyas app launched by NTA consists of mock test in which there are many questions which are our of ncert. so should i focus in other refrence book or only on ncert and practicing mcqs

Bhawna Mehbubani 28th May, 2020

Dear Tanya, For NEET, having a good grasp over the NCERT textbooks is a must. All the topics will be from NCERT only. But, while you practise MCQs, you will find that not all answers are found in your NCERT books. NCERT books have all the topics prescribed in NEET syllabus, but everything is explained in brief. So, to be able to answer all the MCQs is NEET, you should be having in depth knowledge on all the topics of your NCERT book.

It is better, if you follow some of your +2 level text books as well, for NEET preparation.

I wish you good luck!

Do I have to study the concepts / theory part of Physics & chemistry from any other books for NEET?

Aditya Kumar Student Expert 28th May, 2020

NCERT is good for Neet examination but yes there are many concepts which are difficult to understand from NCERT so you need to follow some reference book to have better and clear understanding of concept so that you can easily solve the MCQ's and numericals asked  in the Neet examination.

For Physics and Chemistry for Neet examination you can follow following books

  • HC verma
  • Objective Physics for neet By DC Pandey
  • NCERT at your fingertips by mtg for physics

  • NCERT Chemistry textbooks for Class XI and XII
  • Physical Chemistry by OP Tandon
  • MS Chauhan (Organic)

Thank you

what should be cutoff in neet 2020 for bds in top college in India????

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 28th May, 2020

Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. You haven't mentioned your Category. BDS seats are filled through 15% All India Counselling and 85% State Counselling. Now not all the Top Dental Colleges are in the same State which means for the Colleges that are not in your State, you have to appear for All India Counselling. Then the cut offs will be relatively higher. All in all, to speak in generic terms, if you belong to General Category, you will need atleast 550 and if you belong to Reserved Categories, you will need 500.

what should be cutoff in neet 2020 for bds to admission in aiims for bds????

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 28th May, 2020

AIIMS doesn't have BDS Course. It has MBBS, PG courses, Nursing Course and Post Basic Nursing course. But it doesn't have BDS. And for PG courses, AIIMS has AIIMS PG and for B.Sc courses, it has its own Entrance examination. But for admission to MBBS, NEET is the entrance examination. Admissions are conducted through All India Counselling for admission to all the 15 branches of AIIMS.
