PGIMER Exam Pattern 2021 - Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh (PGIMER) will release the exam pattern of PGIMER 2021 for January session along with the information brochure. PGIMER entrance examination will be held in the last week of November. As per PGI exam pattern 2021, the test will be conducted in computer based mode. According to the PGIMER exam pattern 2021 for January session, the timings has been changed and it will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Candidates appearing for PGI 2021 exam must be familiar with the PGMER 2021 exam pattern specified by the authority. The mode of PGIMER 2021 exam will be 180 minutes, in which aspirants need to attempt 250 multiple choice questions based on MBBS curiculum. The syllabus of PGIMER 2021 will be released through an information bulletin by PGI, Chandigarh. The number of questions to be asked in PGIMER is mentioned in the table below. Aspirants are advised to check the table for better knowledge and understanding of which subject carries the maximum marks weight-age and which carries the minimum. However, as every mark is important, candidates are advised not to consider any subject least significant.

PGIMER exam pattern 2021 marking scheme
It is extremely important for aspirants to be completely aware of the basic exam pattern of PGIMER 2021, so as to understand the PGIMER 2021 marking scheme. Candidates can read the points mentioned in the table below to get an idea about the basic exam pattern of PGIMER 2021 January session.
As a total number of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) asked in the PGIMER exam is 250 with five alternative responses for each question, that amounts to a total of 1250 responses.
For each question, at least one correct response will be there and may or may not have more than one correct response.
An aspirant will be awarded marks for every correct answer and negative marking will be done for every incorrect answer. It is to be noted that no marks will be given for deducted for questions left unanswered.
The percentage score of a candidate as per the PGIMER 2020 exam pattern will be determined using the following formula:
Percentage Score of a candidate= [x/a–y/b]*100
x: correct answers marked
y: Incorrect answers marked
a: Correct answer (out of 1250 options)
b: Incorrect answer (out of 1250 options)
Candidates who will successfully submit the PGIMER application form 2021 will be issued PGIMER 2021 admit card in the third week of November. Before the release of the admit card, the authority will release the mock test for all the registered candidates. Candidates must carry the admit card on the day of examination in order to enter the examination hall. Along with the admit card, the candidate will be required to mandatorily carry a valid photo ID proof. The admit card of PGIMER 2021 discloses the address of examination center, reporting time amongst other crucial information regarding the exam.
PGIMER 2021 exam result will be declared by the authorities in online mode. The result for PGIMER 2021 will be announced in the form of a scorecard that can be checked using the login ID, password and captcha code. Based on the scores of PGIMER 2021, the authority will also release the merit list with the name of the candidates who are eligible to appear for the counselling process. PGIMER result for MD/MS courses will mention the names of candidates, roll number, total percentile & marks obtained, subject-wise scores, All India Rank (AIR) and other counselling details. Candidates who will secure the minimum required percentile as declared by the exam conducting authority will be considered to have cleared the entrance examination.

Pigmer BSC nursing admit cards are not released. The date will be updated soon for admit cards. It will be 10-15 days before exam. Pigmer BSC nursing entrance exams will be commenced on July 28,2020.
