Punjab PMET 2015 Counselling -  Candidates must note that who have been alloted a college during the second round of online counselling are required to report at the alloted colleges from September 24 to 26th September, 2015. The candidates who have been admitted in the first counselling, need not to show the original documents to the new alloted college, but he/she will produce the slip/document/certificate issued from the previous alloted college that their original documents are with the respective college.


The second round of Online Counselling of Punjab PMET 2015 was held from September 22, 2015. All the qualified candidates as per the merit list were eligible to appear in the Online Counselling process. Candidates who had participated in the first round of counselling were also eligible to appear in the second round of Punjab PMET 2015 Counselling.  All the qualified candidates of Punjab PMET 2015 as per the merit list who have been allotted seats on September 08, 2015 but did not report to the concerned college and did not deposit the fee, will be eligible for second round of online  Punjab PMET 2015 Counselling. Candidates must note that the preferences filled for 1st round of counselling will not be considered for 2nd round of online counselling. Therefore, candidates are directed to give fresh options/ preferences of colleges/ course for 2nd round of online counselling. The counselling schedule of Punjab PMET 2015 for the second round will be announced shortly.


The seat allotment result of first counselling of Punjab PMET 2015 has been declared on September 08, 2015. Candidates who had partcipated in  the online counselling can check their result below on this page. Candidates whose names are listed in the seat allotment result list are required to report at the alloted college for eligibility, verfication of documents, medical check up and joining from September 09 to September 11, 2015.Punjab PMET 2015 Online Counselling is being conducted for allotment of MBBS and BDS seats in government and private medical and dental colleges of Punjab.

All qualified candidates are eligible to participate in Punjab PMET 2015 counselling. To participate in counselling process they have to fill preference form from the link given below for all seats except All India quota seats to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, (BFUHS), Faridkot. The MBBS and BDS seats will be allotted to candidates as per their rank and preference in Punjab PMET 2015 result

Important steps to participate in the online counselling of Punjab PMET 2015:

Step 1:

  • Candidates have to log on Online Counselling web site on 08-09-15

  • Candidate will enter his/her Registration No. and Password to download his/her allotment letter (if college allotted) along with Bank Challan Form

  • There will be two Bank Challan forms i.e. Oriental Bank of Commerce and HDFC Bank

  • It is the choice of the selected candidates to deposit their fee either at HDFC Bank or OBC Bank

  • The Amount of fee will be preprinted on the Bank challan form

  • Fee will be deposited by Bank Challan form only

  • Fee of first round of online counselling will be deposited within stipulated period i.e. 08-09-15 to 11-09-15

Step 2:

Candidates are advised to report to the allocated college in stipulated period (i.e. 09-09-15 to 11-09-15) alongwith the following original document

  • Matric or equivalent certificate for Date of Birth

  • Certificate from the Head of the Institute where from passed 10+1 and 10+2

  • Detailed Marks Card of 10+1

  • Qualifying Examination Detailed Marks Card (10+2)

  • PMET-2015 Admit Card and Result Card

  • Character Certificate from Institution last attended

  • Certificate in support of claim under reserved category

  • Punjab Residence Certificate

  • Sworn Declaration from the Parent/Guardian after affixing self attested recent Photograph (that their child/ward not availed any Residence benefit in any other state

  • Undertaking by candidate after affixing self attested recent photograph regarding Gap year, if there is Gap after 10+2 examination

  • Copy of Bank Challan Form for Online Payment of requisite fee

The counselling will be done in online mode only and the last date for submission of online admission application form and filling of preferences of colleges/quota/category is September 06, 2015 qualified candidates can fill online admission application form and give their preferences for colleges/quota/category. Seats to the candidates will be allocated by the computer as per their merit cum choice basis in the below given manner,
a. First step, computer will check the availability of college as per the preference/choice of candidate
b. Second step, computer will check availability of government quota seat in the preferred college and allocated the seat, if available in the preferred college.
c. If candidate belongs to any reserve category then computer will first allocate the open merit seat in the preferred college if available.


It is important for the candidates through the instruction carefully before filling the preferences. Candidate can give their preferences/choice for both MBBS & BDS courses through a common online admission application form. Before starting o fill the preference form on this page, go through the instructions below,


1. Candidates are advised to check all the particulars filled in the Admission Application form and college preferences before locking the online form. Once form is locked, candidate can't change any data in the form. No request/application accepted for change in college preference. 
2. After locking the choices, if a candidate log in again, then the locked choices given by the candidate will be displayed and the choices cannot be modified or altered.
3. Candidate should get printout of online admission application form after locking the form.
4. Allotment of seats will be available on the University website on Septmber 08, 2015
6. Provisional admission will be done only after verification of all original documents and checking eligibility as per Punjab Government Notification, by the Principal of the concerned college.
7. Documents will be verified at the time of reporting in the allocated college, if any discrepancy is detected in original documents, including category, sub-category and any other false information given by the candidate in online filled admission form then seat allocated is liable to be cancelled.
8. Candidate can get the allotment Slip/letter from his/her account through his/her Login Id/password already provided. Candidates have to report in the allocated colleges as mentioned in the allotment Slip/letter alongwith printout copy of admission Application form and all original relevant certificates from September 09, 2015 to September 11, 2015 duedate, their allotted seat will be treated as cancelled (as not joined) and no claim has been considered thereafter for that seat.

According to officials,  if the  seats  are  still  vacant  after Punjab PMET 2015 counselling  then  admissions  will be done on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 (qualifying exam).  The merit list of qualified candidates will be prepared on the basis of PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology) marks in 10+2 examination. In case two or more candidates securing equal marks in PCB, the inter-se merit will be determined as given below:

  • Candidates having higher percentage in the subject of Biology/Biotechnology

  • Candidate having higher percentage in the subject of chemistry

  • Candidate, older in age

As per the officials, admission to private MBBS and BDS medical and dental institutions will be done as per the provisions of the Punjab Private Health Sciences Educational Institutions. In Punjab PMET 2015 counselling, candidate from reserved category shall have the right to compete for admission in open merit or general category seats as per his/her merit on the day of counselling and candidate so selected will not be counted towards admission in the reserve category.

The details of institutions and category wise seats will be made available by Government of Punjab and Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot at the Punjab PMET 2015 Counselling.

Out of the total MBBS and BDS seats in various medical and dental colleges of Punjab, 15% seats (All India Quota) in MBBS/BDS courses will be filled on the basis of merit in AIPMT 2015. The reservation for the State quota seats in Government Institutes in various categories for admission to the under Graduate courses in Government Medical Institutes will be as under. Highlights of Punjab PMET 2015 Counselling:

  • Procedure for filling left over seats in private/ minority institutes. For all the leftover seats in Private or Government Medical/Dental Colleges the counseling will be held at GGS Medical College Faridkot with the same merit as that of PMET 2015 or inter se merit on the basis of qualifying exam. No fresh applications will be called by individual institutions

  • The centralized counseling of NRI quota seats will be held before the counseling for other categories. In case of any seat remaining vacant under NRI quota, during 1 after 2 centralized counselling of NRI quota in state colleges, will go to General category and in the unaided-private colleges/minority colleges will transferred to General Category of the management/minority quota. The NRI left over seats converted into Government quota/ Management/ Minority quota will be filled by the Counselling Committee from amongst the eligible candidates.

  • Any candidate, who has taken admission in the previous session In MBBS/BDS course, shall not be eligible to seek admission again in the same course on the basis of merit in PMET 2015. However, if any candidate who is admitted during the academic session in any institute/course may opt for admission based on marks of PMET-2015 by submitting a sworn declaration at the time of counselling that he/she had surrendered the seat against which he was already admitted

  • Candidates, who has taken admission in the previous session In MBBS/BDS course, will not be eligible to seek admission again in the same course on the basis of merit in Punjab PMET 2015

  • If any candidate who is admitted during the academic session in any institute/course may opt for admission based on marks of Punjab PMET 2015 by submitting a sworn declaration at the time of counselling that he/she had surrendered the seat against which they were already admitted

You need to pass all the subjects in your 12th and then score the minimum required aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For being eligible in NEET, you should score a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST.

Dear Dujata, now there is no upper age limit for NEET. There is also no cap on no.of attempts. If you have completed your 10+2 and secured a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemitry and Biology, you are eligible for NEET. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. For the benefit of you and lakhs of aspirants, we shall detail the registration process.


  • Indian Nationals, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, and Foreign Nationals
  • No upper age limit as of now. The Candidate should be at least 17 years by December 31st of 2020
  • You should have completed your 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as your Core Subjects.
  • 50% Aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST Candidates.
  • NIOS and Private Candidates are also eligible

To get seat in government medical college for MBBS,you need rank under 12k in general Category.For such rank you need to score 580+..This score gets changed each year as it depends upon level of paper.This year one needed 580 score to get rank under 10k in general category while previous year  scenario was something different ,with score of 530 one was getting rank under 12k..So it entirely depends upon level of paper..
