Tamil Nadu Medical admissions 2015- Selection Committee Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu has invited applications from May 11, 2015 for admissions to MBBS and BDS programme in government medical and dental colleges of Tamil Nadu. Candidates must note that the admissions to undergraduate MBBS and BDS programmes in state of Tamil Nadu will be done on the basis of 10+2 or Higher Secondary Certificate marks.

Candidates who are domicile of Tamil Nadu are only eligible to fill Tamil Nadu Medical admissions 2015 forms.
As per the prospectus of 2014, there were 2172 MBBS seats and 85 BDS seats in 19 Medical College and 1 Dental College of Tamil Nadu. In addition to this, there were thousands of medical and dental seats available in 31 Self Finanacing Medical/Dental Colleges of Tamil Nadu.
The exact number of MBBS and BDS seats in Tamil Nadu Medical/Dental Colleges in 2015 will be available at the time of Counseling.
Tamil Nadu Medical Admissions 2015 Eligibility: Candidates are advised to check below for the admission eligibility criteria of Tamil Nadu Medical Admissions 2015:
Candidate should be a domicile of Tamil Nadu
Candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2015
Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology(Zoology+Botany)
Candidates who have studied Class VIII to XII in the state of Tamil Nadu, need not to attach ‘’Native Certificate’’
Candidates who are domicile of Tamil Nadu, but have studied Class VIII to XII either partly or completely outside the state of Tamil Nadu needs to produce the ‘’Native Certificate’’
The certificate of Nativity in Tamil Nadu should be issued by the competent authority only in the specified format and should be supported by a copy of Passport/Ration Card/Ration Card/Birth Certificate
In case, the copy of the above mentioned supporting documents are not produced, the application form will be rejected

Tamil Nadu Medical Admissions 2015 Selection Procedure: Selection Committee Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu will declare a merit list for Tamil Nadu Medical 2015 admissions. Candidates will be shortlisted for the counseling procedure on the basis of their ranks as mentioned in the merit list. Ranking will be made on the basis of marks obtained by the eligible candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination, i.e. 10+2 examination.
MBBS and BDS seats in the Medical and Dental college of Tamil Nadu will be done solely on the basis of merit list.

To be able to to secure a seat in top colleges the neet PG score should be more than 450 marks (for general category) varies on basis of reservation.

There is no reservation for ex servicemen under AIQ. But some states offer reservations in the 85% quota allotted to states.
Note: Defense quota is not available in all states and also the percentage of reservation is not same in each state.
Tamilnadu does not have defense quota.
