Tamil Nadu Medical admissions 2015 Eligibility: Candidates who wish to apply for Tamil Nadu Medical admissions 2015 needs to check the eligibility criteria before applying for Tamil Nadu Medical admissions 2015 Application form. As per the criteria mentioned by Selection Committee Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, candidates need to fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria while applying for Tamil Nadu Medical Admissions 2015.
The last date of issue and downloading of Tamil Nadu Medical 2015 application form is May 28, 2015, 5:00 PM. However, the last date of submission of Tamil Nadu Medical 2015 application form is May 29, 2015, 5:00 PM.
The expected date of declaration of Tamil Nadu Medical 2015 Merit List is June 12, 2015.

Eligibility Criteria of Tamil Nadu Medical 2015 Admissions:
Candidate must be a Citizen of India
Overseas candidates are eligible to apply for MBBS/BDS programme, subject to the production of proof of Citizen of India registration
Age Limit: Candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2015
Candidate should be a domicile of state of Tamil Nadu
Candidates who have studied Class VIII to XII in the state of Tamil Nadu, need not to attach ‘’Native Certificate’’
Candidates who are domicile of Tamil Nadu, but have studied Class VIII to XII either partly or completely outside the state of Tamil Nadu needs to produce the ‘’Native Certificate’’
The certificate of Nativity in Tamil Nadu should be issued by the competent authority only in the specified format and should be supported by a copy of Passport/Ration Card/Ration Card/Birth Certificate
In case, the copy of the above mentioned supporting documents are not produced, the application form will be summarily rejected
Producing false Domicile certificate, if found later during the course of study will result in the expulsion of the candidate. Also, initiation of criminal proceedings against the candidate as well as the Parents as per the law
Educational Qualification for domicile candidates:
Candidates must have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Botany and Zoology OR Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any other subject in the qualifying examination, i.e. 10+2, conducted by the Tamil Nadu State in the single attempt
Candidates who have passed the HSC in any stream, other than PCB are not eligible to apply for Medical/Dental course
The selection and admission of candidates of other Universities / Boards will be provisional, subject to recognition of the qualifying examination by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University under which the candidate gets admitted.
In case, the recognition is not accorded for the admission of the candidate on any ground, the provisional admission will not entitle the candidate for the continuance of the course and the admission will be cancelled
Minimum Eligibility Marks for Tamil Nadu Medical Admissions 2015:
For General Category:
Minimum of 60% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together
Minimum of 60% marks in each of the subjects of Physics and Chemistry
Weighted aggregate of the percentage of marks should not be less than 130 out of 200 mark
The candidates under Orthopedically Physically Disabled Category
Locomotory disability of Lower Limbs, OC / BC / BCM / MBC / DC should have obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in above prescribed subjects taken together in the qualifying examination
For Back ward and Backward Class Muslims:
Weighted aggregate of the percentage of marks in percentage of marks should not be less than 130 out of 200 marks
Most Backward classes and Denotified Muslims:
Minimum of 55% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together
Minimum of 55% marks in each of the subjects of Physics and Chemistry
Weighted aggregate of the percentage of marks should not be less than 120 out of 200 marks
Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Caste – Arunthathiyar, Scheduled Tribes
Minimum of 40% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together
Minimum of 40% marks in each of the subjects of Physics and Chemistry
Weighted aggregate of the percentage of marks should not be less than 80 out of 200 marks
Educational eligibility for Tamil Nadu Medical 2015 BDS Admission
The candidates (OC / BC / BCM/ MBC/ DC ) should have obtained not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Botany and Zoology taken together at the qualifying examination
Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Caste – Arunthathiyar and Scheduled Tribe the aggregate marks required for admission shall be 40%.
The minimum marks for the candidates under Orthopaedically Physically Disabled category is as follows:
OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC-45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Botany and Zoology taken together in the qualifying examination
Candidates who have passed any other equivalent examinations in the first attempt with the same group of subjects mentioned above should produce the eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University before admission to the course
Only the Marks obtained in the science subjects in the HSC qualifying examination as a whole in the first appearance will alone be taken into consideration for the allotment of seats to the candidates
Candidates who have submitted mark sheets with Grades should obtain the statement of marks indicating the actual marks secured from the examination authority and attach a certified copy as an enclosure to the application
In the case of candidates who have furnished the mark sheets of the qualifying examination, only in Grades, the minimum marks of the grades alone will be taken into consideration while determining the marks in the select Science subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology
Normalization method will be adopted for calculating the minimum eligibility mark for the candidates who have passed any other equivalent examination

Yearly the competition keeps on increasing,so the higher your score the more your chance to get a good govt.college.

There is no reservation for ex servicemen under AIQ. But some states offer reservations in the 85% quota allotted to states.
Note: Defense quota is not available in all states and also the percentage of reservation is not same in each state.
