Tamil Nadu Medical admissions 2015 Eligibility: Candidates who wish to apply for Tamil Nadu Medical admissions 2015 needs to check the eligibility criteria before applying for Tamil Nadu Medical admissions 2015 Application form. As per the criteria mentioned by Selection Committee Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, candidates need to fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria while applying for Tamil Nadu Medical Admissions 2015.

The last date of issue and downloading of Tamil Nadu Medical 2015 application form is May 28, 2015, 5:00 PM. However, the last date of submission of Tamil Nadu Medical 2015 application form is May 29, 2015, 5:00 PM.

The expected date of declaration of Tamil Nadu Medical 2015 Merit List is June 12, 2015.

Eligibility Criteria of Tamil Nadu Medical 2015 Admissions:

  • Candidate must be a Citizen of India

  • Overseas candidates are eligible to apply for MBBS/BDS programme, subject to the production of proof of Citizen of India registration

Age Limit: Candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2015

Domicile:

  • Candidate should be a domicile of state of Tamil Nadu

  • Candidates who have studied Class VIII to XII in the state of Tamil Nadu, need not to attach ‘’Native Certificate’’

  • Candidates who are domicile of Tamil Nadu, but have studied Class VIII to XII either partly or completely outside the state of Tamil Nadu needs to produce the ‘’Native Certificate’’

  • The certificate of Nativity in Tamil Nadu should be issued by the competent authority only in the specified format and should be supported by a copy of Passport/Ration Card/Ration Card/Birth Certificate

  • In case, the copy of the above mentioned supporting documents are not produced,  the application form will be summarily rejected

  • Producing false Domicile certificate, if found later during the course of study will result in the expulsion of the candidate. Also, initiation of criminal proceedings against the candidate as well as the Parents as per the law

Educational Qualification for domicile candidates:

  • Candidates must have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Botany and Zoology OR Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any other subject in the qualifying examination, i.e. 10+2, conducted by the Tamil Nadu State in the single attempt

  • Candidates who have passed the HSC in any stream, other than PCB are not eligible to apply for Medical/Dental course

  • The selection and admission of candidates of other Universities / Boards will be provisional, subject to recognition of the qualifying examination by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University under which the candidate gets admitted.

  • In case, the recognition is not accorded for the admission of the candidate on any ground, the provisional admission will not entitle the candidate for the continuance of the course and the admission will be cancelled

Minimum Eligibility Marks for Tamil Nadu Medical Admissions 2015:

For General Category:

  • Minimum of 60% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together

  • Minimum of 60% marks in each of the subjects of Physics and Chemistry

  • Weighted aggregate of the percentage of marks should not be less than 130 out of 200 mark

The candidates under Orthopedically Physically Disabled Category

  • Locomotory disability of Lower Limbs, OC / BC / BCM / MBC / DC should have obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in above prescribed subjects taken together in the qualifying examination

For Back ward and Backward Class Muslims:

  • Minimum of 60% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together

  • Minimum of 60% marks in each of the subjects of Physics and Chemistry

  • Weighted aggregate of the percentage of marks in percentage of marks should not be less than 130 out of 200 marks

Most Backward classes and Denotified Muslims:

  • Minimum of 55% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together

  • Minimum of 55% marks in each of the subjects of Physics and Chemistry

  • Weighted aggregate of the percentage of marks should not be less than 120 out of 200 marks

Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Caste – Arunthathiyar, Scheduled Tribes

  • Minimum of 40% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together

  • Minimum of 40% marks in each of the subjects of Physics and Chemistry

  • Weighted aggregate of the percentage of marks should not be less than 80 out of 200 marks

Educational eligibility for Tamil Nadu Medical 2015 BDS Admission

  • The candidates (OC / BC / BCM/ MBC/ DC ) should have obtained not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Botany and Zoology taken together at the qualifying examination

  • Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Caste – Arunthathiyar and Scheduled Tribe the aggregate marks required for admission shall be 40%.

  • The minimum marks for the candidates under Orthopaedically Physically Disabled category is as follows:

  • OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC-45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Botany and Zoology taken together in the qualifying examination

  • SC/SCA/ST should have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Botany and Zoology taken together in the qualifying examination

Important Note:

  • Candidates who have passed any other equivalent examinations in the first attempt with the same group of subjects mentioned above should produce the eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University before admission to the course

  • Only the Marks obtained in the science subjects in the HSC qualifying examination as a whole in the first appearance will alone be taken into consideration for the allotment of seats to the candidates

  • Candidates who have submitted mark sheets with Grades should obtain the statement of marks indicating the actual marks secured from the examination authority and attach a certified copy as an enclosure to the application

  • In the case of candidates who have furnished the mark sheets of the qualifying examination, only in Grades, the minimum marks of the grades alone will be taken into consideration while determining the marks in the select Science subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology

  • Normalization method will be adopted for calculating the minimum eligibility mark for the candidates who have passed any other equivalent examination

As per NEET PG 2020 Eligibility Criteria,

candidate must have provisional or permanent medical registration certificate issued by MCI or a State Medical Council. that is to be carried on the day of the exam and during admission.


So, having a provisional certificate is also applicable.


In addition to the above criteria, candidates needs to have a valid MBBS degree from an institution recognized by MCI and have a degree or provisional certificate.Also, it's mandatory to have completed rotatory internship on or before 31st March, 2020.

If you are asking about neet pg, then photo requirements for neet pg application form is that"-
  • it should be a color one with white background only and at least 75% coverage of the face and head of the candidate, it should be passport-size, and not older than 6 months,
  • should be devoid of any border and the facial features and should be clearly visible,recently clicked,
  • Should be having the name of candidate ,date of capturing the photograph  imprinted at the bottom of the photo,
  • should be of 3.5*4.5 cm (width*height) in dimension and
  • the file size not more than 80 KB,printed on a high-quality paper with a resolution of at least 600 dp.

The NEET PG 2020 eligibility criteria for aspirants appearing in the postgraduate medical examination has been listed below.

Candidates must possess a valid MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), and have an MBBS degree or provisional certificate to that effect.
Completion of the rotatory internship on or before March 31, 2020.
Provisional or permanent medical registration certificate issued by MCI or a State Medical Council. This must be carried on the day of the exam and during admission.
Candidates who have studied/qualified MBBS from Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for All India 50% Quota seats. Only candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to study MBBS from Medical Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible for All India 50% quota seats. Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring this.

Dear Sreenivasan, NBE hasn't released NEET PG official notification and schedule yet. As of now, all we have is a tentative schedule. The official notification will be released tentatively during the 1st or 2nd weeks of November. To be eligible for NEET PG, you should be able to complete your 1 year Mandatory Internship ateast by March 31st,  2020.
