Hi Saivarsha

According to NEET 2020 guidelines, one should be completing 17 years of age by December 31, 2020. This means that anyone born on or before 31st December 2003 is eligible to write NEET.

Hence you are eligible for writing the exam as you successfully qualify this criterion. All the best for NEET 2020.

last year aiims had eligibility criteria as 60% in pcb ..well after being merged with neet will it be the same for counseling process or they will go with 50% aggregate?? will there be any screening test or they will prepare list based on AIR?? sir/mam..

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 6th Dec, 2019

as per the latest neet notification all of the colleges need to take admission in mbbs , bds or any other courses on the basis of neet exam score. and the eligibility criteria is candidate need to have 50% marks (general category) in pcm in aggregate, sc/st/obc-40% aggregate marks in pcm, so there is no other notifications available regarding aiims or jipmer marks criteria, so you can take their marks criteria should be same as neet exam.

sir I belongs to obc category but applied UR in neet application is their any problem regarding this

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 6th Dec, 2019

Bhagya, if you fall in the Creamy Layer of OBC, then you have to select your Category as General Category while filling in the application form. But if you fall under Non creamy layer you have to select OBC. Now even if you belong to OBC-NCL but want to opt out of reservation, you can select General Category. But if you belong to OBC-NCL and you want to claim your reservation, you can change your Category during the correction window when it opens in January 2020.
