Craeers360 also brings to you brief on admission process and course structure of Dental Sciences in India.

Admission Process

You should have completed 10+2 (PCB) with a minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks. Other criteria for eligibility may vary from college to college as do fee structures.

Almost all the states conduct combined medical/dental entrance and entrance exams. In some states like Kerala, private institutions have a common entrance exam. A large number of universities have their own entrance examinations for admitting students to private and public institutions.

Course structure:

As a student of Bachelor of Dental Science, you will receive training and education related to prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all diseases, malformations and injuries related to the mouth and its components. The course trains you to be patient in handling medical conditions and also imparts effective communication skills.

Internship:

After four years of study, you have to complete one year of internship. During this period, you can use your knowledge and skills acquired to treat patients. You will also get to work with senior dentists from whom you can pick up useful tips and practical skills. As oral diseases are on the rise, there is a lot of scope for trained personnel in this field.
