What percentage is required in class 12 boards for admission after a person is qualified the neet examination

Siddhi Shenoy 13th Nov, 2019

Hi Ritik,

First of all, every college has their own college eligibility criteria. But, generally minimum percentage required is 50%  with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as your mandatory subjects. However, it is important to note that every well-reputed college has their own entrance exams and also take your NEET scores into consideration.

which is the best book for Neet ?

Mansi Singh 13th Nov, 2019
Hi Yashwanth,
The base book for NEET are the NCERTs (for 11th and 12th). These books are required to be read thoroughly before reading other books. Then after completing your NCERTs, you can go through DPPs of various renowned coaching centres. You can also refer to other books which provide question practice for NEET.

except neet and cet more medical exams i want to know

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 13th Nov, 2019

Gauri, NEET is the entrance examination for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. CETs have been replaced by NEET and NEET is a national level entrance examination. Now NEET is mandatory even to study MBBS abroad. CETs conduct the State Counselling of their respective States and that is it. NEET remains the sole Medical Entrance Examination for MBBS, BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses.

I am from Kolkata and I will give neet this year.i am under general category.how much do I need to score to get chance in a good govt college like NRS or Calcutta medical college or others?

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 13th Nov, 2019

In 2018 under State Quota, 533 marks secured a seat in Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and 509 marks secured a seat in Calcutta Medical College. Now this is 20188 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs depend on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Considering all these factors, you should aim for atleast 550 and more.
