TS EAMCET Medical 2016 - Candidates who wish to apply for TS EAMCET Medical 2016 must fulfill the eligibility criteria as declared by the exam conducting authority, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. TS EAMCET Medical 2016 is a gateway examination for seeking admissions to approximate 2650 MBBS and BDS seats in the state of Telangana. Candidates are advised to read and get familiarize with the below mentioned eligibility criteria of TS EAMCET Medical 2016 before filling up the application form of TS EAMCET Medical 2016.

Important highlights of TS EAMCET Medical 2016 Eligibility Criteria are stated below:


  • Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as or on December 31, 2016


  • Candidate must be a native of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh state

  • Candidates must satisfy the local or non-local status criteria as declared by the Telangana or Andhra Pradesh educational regulations of admissions

  • Candidates must be Persons of Indian Origin/Citizens of India/Overseas citizens of India

Educational Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have appeared or passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry,  Biology (Botany and Zoology)/Biotechnology and English

  • Candidates belonging to unreserved categories must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in 10+2 or equivalent examinations

  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories, ST/SC/OBC , must have secured a minimum of 40% marks taken together in 10+2 or equivalent examinations


Qualifying Marks for TS EAMCET Medical 2016

Unreserved (General)

50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Reserved (Scheduled Castes, Schedule Tribes and Other Backward Classes)

40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Note: Notwithstanding the eligibility criteria of TS EAMCET Medical 2016 mentioned as above, if any changes affected by the Competent Regulatory Authority shall be accepted.

Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test also known as TS EAMCET Medical 2016 is scheduled to be conducted on July 9 2016 by the exam conducting authority, JNTU Hyderabad for providing admissions to 850 seats are in Government Medical Colleges and 1800 seats are in private medical colleges of the state.

TS EAMCET Medical 2016 will continue to be gateway for admission to state medical colleges in the admission year 2016. The exam, which earlier stood cancelled as per the Supreme Court order on May 9, 2016again comes into effect after the Centre brought an ordinance on NEETwhich put state entrance tests out of NEET ambit for 2016 admission year. However, NEET phase 2, applicable for admissions to 15 per cent all India quota in government colleges; and private and deemed institutions, is still open for all.

Hello there!


I am extremely sorry to tell you but you haven't mentioned the name of the college for which you are interested in knowing marks required in neet to get a seat, let me know it so that I can help you with relevant and detailed informations. But generally if you belong to general category then you need to  get at least 550 marks or more to get  a seat in government medical college.  If you want to get a seat in top colleges like Maulana Azad Medical College then you should target at least 600+ marks,  also cut off marks for Medical Colleges keeps changing depending upon several factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks scored by students, toughness level of exam etc. So , prepare well for neet.


How can I prepare for neet exam in 15 months

Dear Aspirant,

15 months are more than enough for you to get into your dream medical college. The most important thing you need is just be consistent throughout your journey. Prepare everyday and with a proper fixed time table.

You should also familiarize yourself with the syllabus and prepare with the pace which suits your need and do not depend upon your school's pace.

Then go through all the NCERT textbooks and if you can afford, then buy some coaching material or better you should join one coaching as it will help you with the consistency part.

For Physics, along with NCERT, study Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma and Objective Physics By DC Pandey.
For Chemistry-
  • NCERT chemistry text books for class 11 and 12
  • Practise books by VK Jaiswal (Inorganic), MS Chauhan (Organic) and N Awasthi (Physical)

For biology,
NCERT books, these will help you to clear the basics. You can also study Objective Biology by Dinesh, Biology Vol1 and Vol2 by Trueman.


neet registration date 2020 will start when

NEET 2020 will be held on May 3 in pen and paper-based mode.
Registration for NEET 2020 will be started on December 2, 2019 and the last date is December 31, 2019. And also te last date to submit the registration fee.
The correction window for the registered applications will be opened in January, 2020 (particular date not discloses yet).

It is very tough to predict that from which chapter questions will be out of NCERT Books.Most of the questions are asked from NCERT books as of now nearly 85-90%. It is advised that you should study NCERT Book thoroughly as much as you can. It will be sufficiently helpful for you..
