UP MBBS Counselling 2019 - Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow has released college-wise allotment list for UP MBBS/BDS 2019 counselling on September 18, the same can be checked in the table below. The authority had released tentative seat matrix for second mop-up round of UP BDS 2019 counselling for private dental colleges. Link for the same is given below. The authority had released revised schedule for second mop-up round of UP BDS counselling for private dental colleges. Earlier the authority had released the schedule for UP MBBS counselling 2019 second mop-up round and then cancelled it. The registration for UP BDS 2019 counselling has been started from September 6 to 11. The link to register for UP NEET seat allotment registration has been made provided on this page. The merit list of UP BDS 2019 will be released on September 11. While the seat allotment process for UP MBBS admission 2019 will commence from September 12 and 13 from 11:00 AM. In order to check the counselling of UP NEET 2019 result, aspirants need to enter their course, roll number, NEET application number and provided captcha code. Candidates who have been allotted a seat must report at the respective colleges for admission to UP MBBS/BDS 2019. The allotment letter of UP MBBS counselling 2019 and reporting at the colleges can be done from August 5 to 9. In case of any vacant seats left after round two, the authority will conduct the mop-up round of counselling. The detailed schedule with dates and timing will be given in the table below.

What's new in UP MBBS Counselling 2019?

  1. Fourteen new medical colleges have been added, seven (7) of them government and another seven (7) private
  2. With the latest addition, the number of government medical colleges has gone up to 22 from 15,
  3. The total MBBS seats available for current academic session in government colleges is 2265, up from 1670 last year
  4. The number of private colleges, with the addition of seven (7) new medical colleges, now stands at 24.
  5. Also, total number of seats in private medical colleges is now 3300, up from 2250 last year.
  6. The overall MBBS seats available, after adding both private and government seats, is 5565 (up from 3920 last year)
  7. Five (5) private medical colleges have been stripped of MCI affiliation. Consequently they will not be able to offer MBBS courses; check the list below. Further, students are cautioned not to take admission in these colleges, as degrees offered by these colleges will no longer be accepted by MCI.
  8. Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences, Hapur, a private medical college, has increased its seat capacity from 100 to 150 seats.

UP MBBS 2019 Counselling - Procedure

UP MBBS 2019 counselling is being held only in online mode which means the candidates will be required to submit their options. Therefore, the candidates will be required to login to the same portal where they have filled UP MBBS application form 2019. The steps to be followed to participate in UP MBBS Counselling 2019 are given below-

  • Login- The candidates must click on the above link to login with their credentials like NEET roll no. 2019 and password that they created while registering. A list of colleges will be displayed on the screen after successful login.

  • Online Option Entry- The candidates will be required to choose colleges. The candidates can choose any number of colleges. The institutes which are already selected can be deleted and interchanged. The candidates must remember to save their choices after the selection.

  • Online Choice Locking- After the choice filling, the candidates must lock their choice for final submission before the end date of UP MBBS counselling 2019. The choices which are locked cannot be changed again. Therefore, the candidates are advised to mark their options carefully.

UP MBBS Counselling 2019 - Security money

Every candidate will have to pay a security amount through a demand draft drawn in favour of Director General, Medical Education & Training, UP which will be payable at nodal office in Lucknow. The security money will be returned to the candidates after the completion of the admission procedure of UP MBBS 2019. If the candidate wants to appear for counselling meant for only government colleges, then they are required to pay a sum of Rs. 30,000/-. A candidate who wishes to appear for the counselling meant for admission in private medical colleges, then they are required to pay a sum of Rs. 2,00,00/-. In case the candidate wants to participate in the counselling for both government and private colleges, then the candidate is required to pay a sum of Rs. 2,00,000/- . If the candidate fails to report to the college where the candidate has been allotted seat or withdraws from admission after the conclusion of UP MBBS 2019 admission procedure the security money submitted by the candidate will be confiscated.

The question asked in NEET are not too tough, but one need to have enough practice to solve it. So  you can refer these books-

Chemistry- NCERT is enough

Physics- ncert as well as Hc verma

Biology- trumen or any other coaching material along with NCERT.

Hi Lakhyajyoti,

The NEET eligibility criteria states that the candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/BioTechnology and English as core subjects.The qulaifying marks for PCB is 50%-UR, 40%-OBC/SC/ST, 45%-PWD. So yes you are eligible to appear for NEET.

Know the Neet syllabus & what’s important


Study all the chapters taught in class 11 and 12 thoroughly. 70 to 80 percent of the overall questions are either directly taken from NCERT or are an advanced form of its learnings. Before you take on the study effort, go through the previous years' papers, so much so that, you can identify the important topics and concepts. Study those thoroughly, and prioritize these topics before you move to the less important ones.


Make a study strategy


Ensure you make a good timetable that includes solving test papers, regular revisions, and small breaks to help you recuperate and start afresh. Strictly abide by it and allocate more time to difficult subjects. Make it a habit to cover difficult topics along with interesting ones so that preparation does not become monotonous. Keep a track of time as you do not want one chapter to consume time and affect your overall study plan.


Solve test papers


As soon as you complete your syllabus, start solving as many test papers as you can. As the final date approaches, solve 3-4 test papers/mocks tests a day. Try to complete the test papers within the designated time. Demarcate the questions where you made a mistake and identify its cause. Revise all the incorrectly attempted questions well. In this manner, you will be able to understand your weaknesses better and prepare strategically, which is very important for a competitive exam like NEET.


Revise well


Along with your mock test papers take some time out to revise lessons. This should begin after you have completed studying all the lessons. If you are facing difficulty in grasping a certain topic, formula, diagram, etc, prepare a learning aid (like flashcards) and fix it in front of your study table. Do not be overconfident about your preparation and pay attention to the technique applied to crack the question while you’re revising.


Develop your own study technique


Every student will have a different strategy to crack the exam. While preparing for a competitive exam like NEET, follow a study technique that helps you recall your lessons well and allows you to solve the paper in the stipulated time. Follow the one that suits you best and adhere to the pattern till the day of examination. Do not panic and alter your strategy a few days before the exam - this is likely to hamper your preparation and affect your confidence before the examination.
