UPMT 2016 Eligibility Criteria - As per the eligibility of UPMT 2016, candidates must have completed HSC / Intermediate or other equivalent examination before applying for UPMT 2016. It is mandatory that every applicant should have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English without grace in 10+2 examination. Highlights of UPMT 2016 Eligibility Criteria -
Applicant should be a citizen of India
According to UPMT eligibility criteria 2016, candidate should be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand and should have studied 10th and 10+2 from a recognised school situated in the state of Uttarakhand; Or
Candidates who are not a permanent resident of Uttarakhand, however they have studied 10 and 10+2 from a recognised school situated in the state of Uttarakhand are eligible to apply for UPMT 2016 but these candidates would not be eligible for any reservation
Candidates who are permanent residents of Uttarakhand but they have not studied either 10th or 12th from a recognised school situated in the state of Uttarakhand are also eligible to apply for UPMT 2016
Academic Requirement -
Candidate should have passed 10+2 or other equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as main subjects. General category Candidate should have obtained minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. Applicants who belong to SC/ST/OBC category are required to obtain minimum 40% and Physically Challenged general category candidates are required to obtain minimum 45% in 10+2.
Age Requirement -
Candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2016. Upper age limit for general category candidates are 25 year on or before December 31, 2016. However, Upper age limit for applicants who belong to SC/ST/OBS categories is 30 years of age on or before aforesaid date.

According to last year statistics, a home-general candidate get into Maulana Azad Medical College with around 586 marks in NEET-UG. However, these trends are subjected to change over the years. For General candidate 580+ marks are needed to ensure a seat in MAMC. For OBC you might expect the bracket to go down by 5-10 marks. The opening and closing AIR for OBC last year was 32 and 112 respectively.
