Hi Sakthi,

With an All India Rank (AIR) of 2238 in NEET MDS and belonging to EWS category, your chance of getting a seat in a government dental college depends on a number of factors including the number of seats offered, category wise reservations for the seats and cut-offs for the current admission cycle. Usually, number of government dental services seats for EWS candidates is very limited but reserved.

It is possible to get entry with an AIR of 2238 considering a fair chance out of the not too competitive states or colleges, but I wouldn't bet on it for top-tier government colleges as the cut offs tend to be high. I would suggest that you take part in the counseling rounds and look through the category wise seat matrix for the states of your choice.

Dear candidate,

It very difficult to get admission with 4767 rank in neet mds in obc category for government seat. The govt seats are most closed under 1000 ranks. You can choose private or deemed Universities for this.

All the best !!

Dear candidate,

With 150 score in neet you can apply for BVSc( bachelor of veterinary science) in few states and private or deemed Universities but it is quite difficult with your neet score to get admission in government colleges especially under general category.

All the best!

Hello Aspirant,

It is possible to get a seat in Basaveshwara Medical College, Chitradurga (Private Medical College in Karnataka), if your NEET score is 389 especially in the Private Quota available for you if you hold Karnataka state domicile. In the Government Quota, the cut off usually goes much higher (430+ for general category in recent years), whereas, if you are from a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) you may have better possibilities. But all of this depends on your cut off of the year, your category, and availability of seats in the counselling process.
It would be better to participate in Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) counselling and also check out mock allotments to see your chances fairly accurate.

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, you can appear for NEET after completing B.A. graduation as long as you have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology in your 12 Science. Your 12th marks in those subjects will be considered for NEET eligibility and not your graduation stream.

Regarding Transfer Certificate (T.C.), if you apply through NEET and got selected in the medical college, you will generally be asked to submit a T.C. from your last attended institution, so you will need to submit a T.C. from your B.A. college. So, yes, graduation T.C. will be useful in the admission process.

Hello Aspirant,

If you are selected in NEET and gain admission in an MBBS/BDS college, you will be required to submit a Transfer Certificate (T.C.) from your present institution, your B.A. College. The T.C. is proof that you are leaving that course to enrol in a different one. So, yes, the T.C. from your B.A. college will be valid and you will need it to be submitted at the time of the admission in the medical college. Please make sure, if required, that the T.C. is countersigned by the appropriate university authority. Also carry your 12th marksheet and other original documents as they will be needed in order to validate your eligibility.

Hello aspirant,

NEET 2027 will have a minimum age requirement of 17.  In order to be eligible to take the NEET UG 2027 test, you must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2027.

So, yes you are eligible for NEET 2027. You can give paper in 2027.

Thank you

Hope it helps you

Hello Dhruva,

With an All India Rank of 21,742 in NEET MDS 2025, it may be difficult to get a seat in clinical MDS in either a government or a top private college in Karnataka in case of AIQ 50% or state government quota in high-demand branches like Oral Surgery, Endodontics or Orthodontics. Possibilities remain with deemed universities or lower-level private colleges, but still in the following branches: Oral Pathology, Public Health Dentistry, or Conservative Dentistry, in the later rounds or mop-up round if there is management quota available. Its best that you:

  • Attend Karnataka state counselling (KEA) and Deemed University counselling (MCC).
  • Look for mop-up and stray vacancy rounds.

  • Have documents handy, in case a seat opens up for you to take it quickly.

Hello there,

Based on the NEET 2023 counseling data, the cutoff scores for BAMS admissions in private colleges during the last stray vacancy round varied across different states and categories. Here's a general overview:

1. General Category:

  • In states like Maharashtra and Karnataka, the cutoff scores for BAMS admissions in private colleges during the last stray round were around 400 to 420 marks .

  • In some other states, the cutoff scores went as low as 350 to 370 marks .

2. OBC Category:

  • Cutoff scores ranged between 370 to 400 marks , depending on the state and availability of seats.

3. SC/ST Categories:

  • In certain states, candidates with scores as low as 300 to 350 marks secured admissions in private BAMS colleges during the stray vacancy round. YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krhRCOGisnA&utm_source=chatgpt.com)

Note:

  • The cutoff scores can vary significantly based on the state, the number of vacant seats, and the number of applicants in the stray round.

  • These figures are approximate and based on previous years' trends. For the most accurate and updated information, it's advisable to check the official counseling websites of the respective states or the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).

If you have a specific state or category in mind, please provide those details for a more precise cutoff estimate.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

Hi Trisha,

With a NEET MDS 2025 score of 398, in SC category, you are above the normal qualifying cutoff and eligible for admission to Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS), Manipal. Admission to a Government seat will be difficult because supply and demand can be limited and competition could still be highly sought after specialties such as Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery even with qualifying cutoff. It is expected to have an excellent chance for Admission by way of Management Quota seats. Management Quota seats, however, have higher fees are usually more liberal in regards to acceptance, admission requirements and use of NEET Scores. The fee for management seats is based on topics. It can vary greatly from roughly around 26 Lakh to 58 Lakh for the entire course. The entry fee for Government seat can be much less and considerably less competitive. It is a good idea to check the official college website for the most accurate and up to date rules regarding fees and admission. In conclusion, you are eligible based on marks, but decision related to fees and number of available seats under different quotas will affect your admission.
